Anybody Else Out There Feeling Their Intelligence Insulted By Obama's Condescending Yokel-Speak?

Of the first times I forced myself to endure Barack Obama speeches in late 2007, I was immediately struck by how the Chicago charlatan changed tone and accent in the most obvious way when speaking to different crowds. It's actually what set off the first red flags for me... seemed like a dishonest used car salesman, and I remember thinking "what a fake- I can't believe people are willing to fall for this schlock!".

In front of a Harvard crowd, he embedded 'big' words to flaunt his intellectual prowess... yet somehow it reminded me of OJ Simpson (when he tries to sound intelligent) or 'Anton' the homeless guy on In Living Color. 

Speaking in a black church, Obama flipped-the-switch instantly, affecting a 'black preacher' tone... one surely glommed from his 20-some years sitting in Reverend Wright's pew.

But the one that really takes the cake is how he talks-down to middle-America: speaking yesterday and today in Ohio was a textbook example of the approach: first off, Obama always goes into the value of traditonal American 'beliefs' and 'morals' which he doesn't personally have any respect for, i.e. opportunity and individualism... because Axelrod told him we'll just eat that up.

Yet the most annoying habit of all is how he thinks it's endearing to drop g's in speeches to crowds in flyover-country: today in Poland, Ohio, the condescending jerk told us how he was grillin' with soldiers yesterday... how Americans are willin' to work, given the chance.

And while he's busy givin' people that opportunity, he does that while knowin' how tough it is out there for all us plebes. Rest assured though, he and his crack staff are still workin' on it...

Funny, I'm a born-and-raised Ohio boy myself... and I don't talk anything like that. Neither do people in Parma, Poland, nor any other place I've ever been in the great Buckeye state.

What a monumental jerk you'd have to be to think I -or any other sensible American- could be won-over by wrapping of standard Obammunist tripe in such superficial candy-coating. 

How 'bout if Romney showed up in Detroit for a speech and broke right-into 'Yo yo yo, Mitt-Dog IN THE HOOOOUUUUSE!'...?

Speaking of his “whistling”...if you ever listen to Glenn Beck show...whenever they play sound clips of Obama, you can hear Stu and Pat in the background whistling s’s and making fun of him. It’s actually hilarious.

You have expressed my feelings exactly. I especially hate the way he pronounces “continue” as “continya” and “business” as “bidness”. If I ever need to purge my stomach following a hot dog eating contest I will watch an 0bama speech.

I’ve kind of given up trying to parse out different ways that I detest this Marxist POS working to trash the country. To me, he is just a vandal, a juvenile delinquent. He’s interested in spray-painting his name on my garage door. He doesn’t care what it cost me to earn the money to buy the door, what I had to go through to earn that money, the work others put into installing the door, nor what it will take to restore it to its former state. So working to discern some new nuance in in exactly which way he is trying to tear down the US is kind of like wondering why he spray-painted his name in black paint or blue paint or red paint or day-glo orange. He is a despicable incompetent, he is my enemy, and he is the enemy of this country’s progress and prosperity. He wishes to radically transform it, and he cares not what damage is done in the process of first derailing it off its’ tracks to enable the transformation, nor what pain and suffering might be involved changing it to whatever the hell he has in mind for it. Everything he is about is taking away what you have, what I have, and giving it away as a bribe to hoped-for constituents or to crony supporters. And those supporters are no better friends of mine than 0bama himself is. He is an infection, a parasite.

Most pols drop their g’s like that for the average folk.

The difference is that most pols have a better command of standard English than multiple-Ivy-degreed Obama has.

(E.g., your typical pol might get tripped up on ‘between you and I’, but he or she doesn’t have the difficulty with basic verb agreement that both Obamas have.)

I have honestly never heard him say moare than a couple words. Always manage to mute or otherwise kill the sound. No idea what he says and will keep it that way.
