I do not think that this would go over very well in eastern KY or West Virginia, especially with the recent, and probably permanent, coal mine closings.
Notice how he doesn’t come down here to southern Ohio, down near the tri-state (WV, KY, OH) neck of the woods? I live right on the WV border in southeast Ohio, and the phrase ‘tar and feathers’ comes to mind.
