Three years after an Obamanesque media campaign about a supposed Arab Spring convinced millions of people that the Muslim world was about to become democratic and peace-loving, the New York Times has finally trumpeted the headline that the Muslim Brotherhood just won the presidency of Egypt.
Other than the NYTs most gullible readers, is anybody surprised?
The radical Muslim victory in Egypt is a first-rate foreign policy fiasco, one that might make Jimmy Carter green with envy.
Thirty years after Jimmys biggest blunder, the mullahs still rule 70 million helpless people and have enough uranium for five nuclear bombs.
Thirty years from now the Muslim Brotherhood may still be tyrannizing Egypt, and with the pace of nuclear proliferation we see today they will be nuked up to the armpits.
Jimmy Carter lost Iran; Bill Clinton lost Osama; Barack Obama has now lost the Arab world.
All over the celebrating Muslim world Al Jazeera is reporting loud yells of Allaaaaahuuuh Akhbar! , the same war cry that the 9/11 hijackers screamed before they dived civilian airplanes into the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania.
And today, the NYT finally gives us All the Moos thats Fit to Print.
Just in the Obama years the New York Times has 1. Lied about Obama.
2. Got the Arab Spring completely wrong.
3. Denied the public evidence for Iranian nukes.
4. Fallen for the Muslim Brotherhood, a fundamentalist sect that tells lie after lie as a matter of Koranic principle.
If they just put a slot machine in Times Square their hit rate would go way up. Outsource the whole shebang to a sweatshop in Shanghai and you might get some actual news.
Like the Muslim Brotherhood, liberalism is a cult that needs reassurance day after day. Liberalism
