Anderson Cooper has some news to share.
"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," the CNN anchor wrote Monday in an open letter to his longtime friend Andrew Sullivan of the Daily Beast.
The host of Anderson Cooper: 360, 45, also says that he has waited until now to announce the fact because, "As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn't matter."
Cooper, who also hosts his own syndicated talk daytime show Anderson, addressed the subject after Sullivan – a British writer who is openly gay and Catholic – put the question to him after a cover story in the current Entertainment Weekly focused on how gay people in the public life are currently coming out in understated and matter-of-fact manners.
"Andrew, as you know, the issue you raise is one that I've thought about for years. Even though my job puts me in the public eye, I have tried to maintain some level of privacy in my life. Part of that has been for purely personal reasons. I think most people want some privacy for themselves and the people they are close to," Cooper began...

I never will get the “pride” part which seems obligatory in every homosexual’s diatribe on the issue. You don’t see heterosexual couples going around talking about how “proud” they are to be heterosexual. That in itself should tell anyone it’s deviant behavior since the point of stating one’s “pride” in the behavior is open defiance of a norm and what is acceptable: i.e. “I’m a burglar and proud of it.” “ I’m a rapist and proud of it.” Such “pride” has as its goal spitting in the face of God.
If gay people are allowed to be proud of being gay, are heteros allowed to be proud of being hetero?

What they have ample supply of in pride they severly lack in honor.
Pride cometh before the fall.
I had an uncle who was proud to be an alcoholic. He said he was born that way. Same mindset as the homosexual Smith. I guess this mindset helped my uncle feel good about drinking himself to death.

Who cares if he is gay, queer, homosexual etc., they are all going to end up in the same place eventually.
Very sad, but it’s true that homosexuals undermine their “we are born this way and can’t help it” argument when they express their “pride” in it. One doesn’t go around saying how “proud” they are to have brown eyes, or how “proud” they are to be short. Pride is something one expresses when discussing behavior and that CAN be controlled!

Im often amused by these claims - #1 - why the hell do we need to know what happens in your (Andersons) bedroom (if not for his narcissism) & #2 professing “pride” at rectal play seems a bit contradictory
