The recent SCOTUS decision on Obamacare is stark evidence that the judicial branch has pushed the envelope toward a national crisis. While Im not yet convinced that were witnessing the proverbial straw that breaks Uncle Sams back, we could very well be watching a preview of coming attractions.

Nah. You can post it here.
I'm sorry; but Romney fails at the test of appointing good judges.
He will appoint far better than Obama will.
I agree with Humblegunner. Post it here.
I refuse to use a relative scale. Roberts is a "better justice" than who Gore would have appointed... yet what quality is he?
Everything in life is on a relative scale. Shop at Penney’s? It’s Good, Better, or Best. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Romnet wins, or Obamacare stands while more ardent liberals are added to the court.
He definitely will appoint better than Obama will. Vote for Romney like your life depended on it.
“He will appoint far better than Obama will.”
Here are some examples of what Republican presidents believe are good justices:
Earl Warren - EIsenhower
William Brennan - Eisenhower
Harry Blackman (Mr. Roe v Wade) - Nixon
John Paul Stevens - Ford
Anthony Kennedy - Reagan
Sandra Day O’Connor - Reagan
David Souter - GHW Bush
Harriet Myers (GW Bush wanted her but conservatives forced her to withdraw)
John Roberts (GW Bush)
Given the historical record with respect to Republican Supreme Court nominations, why would we believe a liberal Republican (Romney) would nominate a true conservative judge to the Court? Expect Romney to replace a Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, Alito or Roberts with a moderate to left leaning judge who will move further left once on the Court. Based on past behavior, Romney will likely be like George HW Bush who nominated David Souter in order to avoid a confirmation fight.
Now, put your list of Republican presidential nominees in juxtaposition with Democrat nominees, and tell me which ones are worse. You cannot take one or two boneheaded decisions and throw the whole baby out with the bath water. We’re it not for Roberts, you would have already lost most of your 2nd Amemndment rights. Was his Obamacare decision troubling? You bet your sweet arse it was. But make no mistake about it. A vote not cast for the sub mediocre Romney IS a vote for 4 more years of the current White House stench. You will be digging your own grave. Hold your nose like the rest of us and pull the R lever, and pray to the Almighty God in Heaven that we are afforded a little more time to fend off the wolves.
“Hold your nose like the rest of us and pull the R lever, and pray to the Almighty God in Heaven that we are afforded a little more time to fend off the wolves.”
I remember twice not having to hold my nose to vote for the Republican presidential candidate — 1980 and 1984. My nose will once again be pinched shut in 2012, plus I may have to take an airsickness bag into the booth. One can only hope I can live long enough for the Republicans to nominate another candidate I can enthusiastically support.
Will they be good enough?
Obama's judges say it's OK to cut your leg off at the hip. Will Romney's judges say it's OK to cut your leg off at the knee?
No. Not everything in life is relative. Take the law: you are either a lawbreaker (criminal) or you are not. Your crime doesn't make you less of a lawbreaker than a murderer. The same is true of good and evil.
I do not believe that Romney will appoint good judges, but evil judges who will respect neither law, nor logic, nor God.
No, he will not. He will appoint evil judges who respect neither law, nor logic, nor God.
Vote for Romney like your life depended on it.
No, I will not. I am not voting for any socialist. Period.
Yes we would; the 2nd Amendment merely affirms (and guarantee recognition of) pre-existing, God-given rights. The Supreme Court can no more diminish those actual rights than they can blot out the sun by scribbling "DARKNESS!" on their wall.
(The government's recognition of those rights is an other matter, but cannot be properly addressed until the mentality of "the Constitution gives/grants rights" is wiped out.)
Most of those putting Romney down are Democrat hard core left or lack any sense of reality. I don't bother reading their post.
Who is the last person to appoint a good SCOTUS member? At least Romney grasps the atrocity that was committed against the Constitution and the People. Those who still insist on cutting Rom,ney, with the full knowledge that Obama will strive to appoint those who wish the Constitution dead and buried (even deeper than it is now) are whistling past the graveyard.
I don't know. I don't think I've been alive that long. Certainly not politically aware.
Scalia and Thomas seem ok. The main problem, IMO, is that the people nominated for the position tend to be lawyers. Some should definately be lawyers, but what the Court's lost sight of is that the Constitution means what it says. The entire War On Drugs, for example, is clearly contrary to the Constitution -- and it can even be considered invalid through the judicial-branches golden calf of precedent: the 18th Amendment was needed to give the FedGov the authority to regulate alcohol, it was repealed in full, and no such amendment was made for drugs... yet go Read Raich and see how much they have to twist and turn and dodge and dance in order to declare that the War on Drugs is a-ok.
At least Romney grasps the atrocity that was committed against the Constitution and the People.
I honestly don't know if that's the case: I suspect he's merely seen a chance for him to "get ahead."
Those who still insist on cutting Romney, with the full knowledge that Obama will strive to appoint those who wish the Constitution dead and buried (even deeper than it is now) are whistling past the graveyard.
Honestly, there's more than just the ballot box.
