No joke. It happened around 6 p.m. Eastern. I briefly talked with one of the police officers at the scene, who confirmed that someone had called saying he had shot his wife, and sent officers to Aarons address.
I just got off the phone with Aaron and he and his wife are a little shaken up but OK. The officers had machine guns but did not point them at Aaron. They were quickly able to determine it was a hoax.
Aaron plans to post about it later.
Backround (briefly): Aaron Walker is a conservative lawyer and blogger who had been writing about Brett Kimberlin, a left-winger who was convicted of perjury in a federal court *while in high school* (if I remember correctly) and who was later convicted of the Speedway, Indiana terrorist bombings, serving 17 years of a 50-year sentence.
Kimberlin ended up getting Walker fired from his job due to the risk involved, and then got a restraining order against Walker for stalking him, and got Walker arrested, for violating a restraining order: the judge in that case openly said in so many words "let's forget the [Supreme Court's] standard".
Walker *just* got that restraining order modified today, and tonight, he gets swatted. Joining the ranks of a number of other conservative pundits including RedState's Erik Erikson...

Active case -- this evening -- of a conservative blogger, a disputant of convicted terrorist Brett Kimberlin, getting SWATted (phone call purporting to be from his house claiming he just shot his wife)...
Please spread this far and wide.
& Pray for the dude, consider contributing to Walker's legal defense fund.

Just read it on Twitter. This is getting way out of hand. Isn’t this harrassment bordering on terrorism?

This country will be at war with itself within 12 months. And I give it six months if Obama loses in November.
but go to Michelle Malkin's site, or Ace of Spades, or Patterico, or TheOtherMcCain, or (maybe, I haven't checked) RedState for more; Kimberlin was convicted of terrorism (a series of bombs in Speedway, Indiana).
Why he has not yet had his parole revoked is beyond my current knowledge.

If there is such a thing as karma, it’s going to be a b!tch.
The SEIU cops are the Waffen SS of the Leftists. Nothing will be done to prosecute this phony 911 call.
We’re getting very near the line which, when crossed, will lead to - well, something like Travis McGee’s books. TMG - have you seen thins? More on the Aaron Walker saga.
It’s blood curdling.
Several people are in the terrorist’s crosshairs, and I wonder why people like Rush don’t talk about this issue?
The only reason why this crap continues is because conservatives don’t strike back.
I know, I know — if any of us did something in retaliation, we would be hunted down and either killed or dragged through a horribly negative prosecution.
Kimberlin is probably doing this himself.
Jeepers. Thanks for the ping!
Thanks grey_whiskers.
I’m working on a new essay about what I see coming next: a civil war by assassination. Nobody has any privacy left, and damn little security. Breitbart will be a footnote in the history, in the mystery murder category. Some assassinations will be intended to terrorize, some will be left in doubt as “accidents” or “medical conditions.” But it will be a civil war by assassination.
I agree. This is a classic technique by a Gangster Govt. You have some "loose cannons" who want to kill or defame/smear your enemies? Let them do it! Shield them. Let them know nothing will happen. The DOJ could have a complete file on Kimberlin's "swatting" efforts, and the file is in a "take no action" cabinet.
Pretty soon other "loose cannons" take notice, and they begin to do the same. The FedGoons don't need to pull any triggers, they just need to give their nutjobs a free rein. It's the opening stages of civil war by assassination; more about that later in an essay I'm working on. (See my above reply.)
Disband SWAT teams.
