I can’t stand to hear immigrants described in terms more appropriate to a plague of locusts than human beings. And although I believe they are a small minority, I begin to wonder if some of the people who speak so disparagingly about immigrants would be just as worked up if most of them were coming from Canada.
I understand it is a difficult issue. It’s a law-and-order issue. But it’s also an issue about human dignity and common decency. And when we lose sight of either aspect of the issue, we harm ourselves as well as the people who wish to live here. Many people who come here illegally are doing exactly what we would do if we lived in a country where we couldn’t feed our families.

Rubio is a RINO ass, always has been always will be. Anyone who thinks the man is worthy of conservative support needs to read up - because in many ways the man is a Republican sell-out.
I keep hearing conservative radio hosts (most shockingly Mark Levin) touting this guy as some sort of "rising star" among conservatives. Based on what, exactly? Because he's articulate and from a select minority group? Seems I've heard that one before somewhere...

What scares me about these laws, is who actually carries this kind of proof? If I were stopped in Arizona (where I’m currently living), and proof of legal residency was required, I’d be screwed. All I have is a Texas driver’s license, some credit and insurance cards. It could take me several days to get my hands on my birth certificate (which isn’t original) or my DD214 which I’m gathering is what it would take to prove that I was born in the USA.

The simple fact that he purposely left off that adjective shows how utterly vile and deceitful he is.
For that simple fact alone, this disgusting POS should NEVER be considered a Conservative.
It's an issue of rewarding lawbreakers who've normally broken a long series of US laws beginning with illegal entry into the country.
And whenever I hear anyone braying about "human dignity and common decency", I wonder what Rubio and others plan to do for the several billion others around the world with just as poor, or poorer a living standard as those who entered the US illegally. Don't they matter to Rubio, also.
Around 1.2 million are allowed to immigrate legally each year, but we have so many spineless, pandering lawmakers such as Rubio that we can't even say NO to those who choose to come illegally in addition to that large number of legals.
About the best thing I can say about Rubio at this point is that he is probably better than Charlie Crist would have been.

I haven't listened to Rush since Bloody Thursday (01-26-2012). I thought I would miss him, but I realized I am not as stressed. I don't miss his show one bit.
I get the Conservative perspective and general news from Free Republic. There is nothing more I can learn from Rush. In the end he is just a mouthpiece for the GOP-e.
In a sane world we would expect law enforcement to use professional discretion to decide when to act. But when experience and common sense - otherwise known as profiling - are eliminated from the process of evaluation the rest becomes a farce.
The more he says, the more I dislike him. He is not one of us.

I think what you carry would be more than adequate, unless you were exhibiting behavior that raised suspicion that you might be in the US illegally.
If you check the statistics, you might find that, since there are as many illegal hispanic immigrants leaving as arriving, asians now make up the majority of illegal immigrants arriving per year.
Tell it to someone dumb enough to buy that garbage.
