Texas Congressman Michael McCaul grills Janet Napolitano, 15 February 2012.
Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.): Madam secretary, theres been some speculation that the weapons used to kill Agent Zapata may have been possibly linked to Fast and Furious. Do you have any information to indicate there is a connection there?
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano: I have no information to that effect, no. I dont know one way or the other. -- Hearing before the House Homeland Security Committee, 15 February 2012.
Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Jaime Zapata and the scene of his ambush murder.
Congressional investigators permitted to view Department of Homeland Security documents related to the Fast and Furious operation have located and seen an Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Report of Investigation (ROI) from August 2010 describing 80 weapons seized in an arms smuggling interdiction between Phoenix, Arizona and San Antonio, Texas. Of these weapons, the majority (approximately 50) were noted to have come from Operation Fast & Furious in Arizona, purchased by Uriel Patino and Jacob Chambers. The ROI was written and signed by Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Jaime Zapata, who was shot dead in an ambush at a fake roadblock in San Luis Potosí, Mexico on 15 February 2011. At the time of the report, Agent Zapata was assigned to the Laredo office.
Two of the weapons found at the murder scene were later traced back to Texas -- One was purchased in August 2010 near Houston on behalf of accused drug dealer Manuel Gomez Barba, and the other in October 2010 by a Dallas trafficking ring that included Otilio Osorio and his brother Ranferi.

Here’s what I think the new “whistleblowers” will be informing the House Oversight about - Texas Fast and Furious. Arizona was an extension of Project Gunrunner, but Texas would be an expansion of the program under Obama. If this does blow up in Holder’s face, it’s going to be felonious to the point of no return.
I’ve emailed this reporter Cindy Casares about this and hope for some interesting response. She seems VERY in-the-know about what’s going on.
The dots are being drawn...will the GOP have the spine and balls to connect them...

Top US Federal Judge Assassinated After Threat To Obama Agenda
A Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin today states that the top US Federal Judge for the State of Arizona was assassinated barely 72-hours after he made a critical ruling against the Obama administrations plan to begin the confiscation of their citizens private retirement and banking accounts in order to stave off their nations imminent economic collapse, and after having the US Marshals protecting him removed.
According to this SVR report, Federal Judge John McCarthy Roll was the Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona who this past Friday issued what is called a preliminary ruling in a case titled United States of America v. $333,520.00 in United States Currency et al [Case Number: 4:2010cv00703 Filed: November 30, 2010] wherein he stated he was preparing to rule against Obamas power to seize American citizens money without clear and convincing evidence of a crime being committed.

Thanks. I think it is related. I have put it in the “Related Murder/Coverups” on the Dead Pool page

Armored SUV could not protect U.S. agents in MexicoU.S. investigators recovered one of the military-style semi-automatic weapons used in the attack that killed Zapata.
The gun came from Texas.
Ballistic testing of spent shell casings and the raising of an obliterated serial number revealed the weapon was a popular Romanian-made AK-47 knockoff purchased at J&Js Pawn Shop in Beaumont, smuggled south to the Zetas by a methamphetamine trafficker named Manuel Gomez Barba, a U.S. citizen.
This sounds like the hotel scene from Bullitt. How much you wanna bet Avila was driving, opened the door, got shot in the leg when they nailed Zapata (in the passenger seat) and then rolled the window up when they were done.
WHO THE HELL OPENS A WINDOW TO 10 ARMED MEN WHO MADE YOU PULL OVER?
Interesting theory.
Armored SUV could not protect U.S. agents in MexicoThe door locks popped open.
That terrifying sound a quiet click set into motion events that remain under investigation. When Zapata needed it most, the Suburbans elaborate armoring was rendered worthless by a consumer-friendly automatic setting useful for family vacations and hurried commuters but not for U.S. agents driving through a red zone in Mexico.
(snip)
With the Suburban on the side of the road and unlocked, the Zeta gunmen wrestled Avilas passenger door open. As the agents screamed that they were Americans and diplomats, Avila or his attackers hit the button that rolled the bulletproof window down. The gap was just four inches but enough for one gunman to get the barrel of his AK-47 into the Suburban and rake gunfire across their laps.
"The agents were forced to the side of the road and, when their passenger-side window briefly opened, the assailants fired several rounds into their vehicle, fatally shooting Zapata, who was driving, and wounding Avila in the leg."

Zapata was driving. Avila was in the passenger seat. The passenger side window was opened. I'd assume that Avila opened it, which makes it even more suspicious, since Zapata took the brunt of the fire and Avila only one non-life threatening wound.
Thanks for the info. There was a previous mention that the doors clicked open, but the early reports state that the passenger window was “rolled down.” It would be nice to talk to this Avila guy about it before he ends up missing. Who really knows what the heck happened, but 2 vehicles and 10 armed men spells hit job.
They knew who they were going after and why.
I just read the story about the doors unlocking automatically when the vehicle was put in park. If that’s the case, then I would think that the window got rolled down on accident as they were fumbling desperately to hit the door lock button. Definitely still sounds like a hit job to me, because why would they stick a gun in the window and start shooting if the attackers were trying to commit a robbery or kidnapping?
Someone needs to talk to the other guy and get him as a witness. If Texas did have an expanded F&F then Holder is going down.
Freaking PATCON idiot.
I’m sure if the other agent wasn’t in on it, he’s been sufficiently intimidated to never say a word to anyone.
That I didn't know.
