Despite the complete lack of evidence to support their claims, birthers continue to assert that President Barack Obama was born in Kenya. When will it stop? It wont. Not ever.
Thanks largely to the efforts of Donald Trump, it is abundantly clear that birtherism has survived the release of Obamas long-form birth certificate roughly 13 months ago. With that out of the way, there is nothing left that can stop it. The birther cause is now destined to join the pantheon of enduring fringe movements like the Flat Earth Society and the folks who insist the moon landings were faked. It is here to stay.
The durable nature of birtherism was not always so obvious. Prior to the release of the long-form certificate, the very nature of their demands seemed to doom the movement to eventual oblivion. In 2010, the birther blog Expose Obama summed things up this way: If you are born in a hospital there are records. It is called a long form birth certificate. Just release it and we go away. It was tempting to believe them.

Fixed it
The Earth is round.
The Moon landings were real.
Obama was born in Kenya.
BTW... that screed originally appeared in the HuffingtonPUKE. Out of respect for Freeper policies, I will not post that link here. But a quick Google search brings it up. I gave the blogger a dose of reality in the comments section.
Everyone who is familiar with the birth question and the pertinent facts knows that Obama is not constitutionally qualified to serve as president. The people in positions of authority who should have dealt with this travesty don't have the guts speak out. The media doesn't have the guts to speak out. Obama knows that and thumbs his nose at America, American citizens and the Constitution.
Gutless leftist blogger. He doesn’t have a comment section so we could all post graphics of Obama’s literary biography as it was run from 1996-2007.
(So was the first “birther” Obama himself, or his literary publicist, or one of his parents who told him he was born in Kenya, or did the publicist have some other source, who was the first “birther”? The existence of his literary bio proves the first person to assert Obama was born in Kenya was not a political opponent, and that the notion, true or false, predated his presidential run by over a decade.)
I beleive Obama when he says he was born in Kenya.
If it turns out the first black president was a lying, treasonous flim flam man who took advantage of America’s good will as he was voted in as our first black president, this will mess up the left’s history revision efforts. They will try to make the Obamas into a royal family of perfection and wonder like they did with the Kennedys. But his illegality will haunt them. The evidence is thick and non-communist historians are going to want to get to the bottom of the question if it is not solved before he’s out of office. They may wonder why he said he was born in Kenya.
Absolutely no proof is right!
LOL - just LOL!
Hey dipsh!t, you know that "lack of evidence"?
THAT'S THE EVIDENCE!
That site just set off my virus warning!
The Kenyan Impostor fuels we birthers with his suspicious withholding of records.
We birthers are performing a valuable service by undermining the authenticity of the Kenyan and raising doubts.
GOOD NEWS! That article seems to have been cross-posted from the HuffingtonPUKE. I will not give the URL here because that is against the rules. But you can find it using Google. I left a comment at the HuffingtonPUKE version.
Really? The reason I linked to that site was because the screed was originally sent to me by a commie relative as a post on HuffingtonPUKE. Turns out, you can’t post stuff from that site here (I am a newbie and did not know that). But I found the same thing cross-posted on Tumblr (thanks to the same commie relative), so I linked to that version.
But I thought Tumblr was more or less safe.
