In addition to providing predictable Establishment Left spin to the news, CNN is attempting to remain relevant by offering marriage counseling. Its advice: normal couples should follow the example of homosexuals, who have left behind old-fashioned notions of sexual fidelity.
According to eminent marriage therapist John Gottman,
Straight couples may have a lot to learn from gay and lesbian relationships.
For example,
A number of my gay clients prefer to be sexually open but emotionally monogamous, says sex and relationship therapist Joe Kort. They can have lovers on the side and not have it be a threat to the relationship.
Its a type of male coupledom that sex columnist Dan Savage has famously termed monogamish
Appallingly, this self-indulgent infidelity which is responsible for the rapid spread of AIDS is portrayed as positive.
Readers may recognize Dan Savage as the militant pervert who publicly bullies Christian children.
Anyone wonder why CNN is losing it audience?

That’s what has made the Clintons’ marriage such a model for everyone else, as well as various Kennedy family marriages...
The insanity continues...
It is the Age of Obama.
CNN didn’t use the word, but they are called “swingers”.
“... they can have lovers on the side and it not be a threat to their relationship”.
And... they want regular married folk to emulate this?!! Vows mean nothing, I guess?
Emotionally monogamous?
WTF is that? Sex without feelings? Yeah, it’s called sex with a hooker.

Not possible. I don't care how "liberated" you think you are.
Yeah, I'll bounce that one off Mrs Wbill and see what ricochets back.
Someone call 911 if I don't post back on FR for awhile.
Actually, straight couples *can* learn a lot by watching homosexual couples. What to avoid, for one thing. A bad example is often an excellent way to learn what not to do, if you are smart enough to profit from learning from others rather than having to pee on the electric fence to learn that is not a good idea.
Lol wonderful!
What a great crash and burn.
This man is discrediting himself nationally among all people by the day.
No threat here.
I’m pretty sure my pastor would not approve of this approach.

Lot's of open marriages out there with heterosexual couples who have been married for years but swap partners.
AIDS kills because of this practice, and guess what? In gays AND straights (see Africa)!
Syphyllis, Gonnorhea, AIDs, Herpes, none of these could dampen a relationship, could they? And those are just appetizer selections, before the main course of roasting in Hell for eternity.
Yeah, what a great idea!? I can't believe nobody thought of that before. This rancid Liberal zhithole is going up in flames if we don't change course but quick, mark my words.

Yes. Because the whole point of getting into a long-term committed relationship like marriage is, after all, only about ME and what I want, and my “needs,” and what I can get from my spouse. So if I perceive I’m not getting something from my spouse, I have every right to get that somewhere else, because, after all, this relationship is completely about ME. And of course, my spouse is allowed to have the same mindset and behave in the exact same way.
Sounds great. What could possibly go wrong? /S
