I'll be glad to see Gingrich go. He has never done anything to advance our American condition except to inspire bile and national hostility and divisiveness. He sees all disagreement as war. His life in politics has been a shadow of Civil War regional hostility advanced to other strategies. To paraphrase Clausewitz: To Gingrich, politics is war by other means.
He has brought a mini-dark age to conservatism. When Gingrich first brought his childish shutdown stunt to Congress, it brought new relevance to militias. Advancing Alabama Gov. George Wallaces initiative, Gingrich helped turn aspects of Christian religion into a hostile political movement (an abomination to the Christ). He has turned the Tea Party into a boorish hoot that has lost all perspective. But worst of all, he destroyed the political career of Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
The Gingrich war on everything was a naïve political fashion founded in the heady disco days of leisure suits and white patent leather belts and shoes. Today Mike Huckabee, a nicer and better man who should know better, announces in an email that the abortion wars are heating up. Part of Gingrichs culture wars, no doubt, or the war on women. Not surprisingly, these men have never been to war. Those with substantive contention like Ron Paul have a better way of expressing themselves.
But unless Mitt Romney, who does know better, picks Rick Perry as vice president, Gingrichs final legacy will be that he destroyed the political career of Rick Perry...

Hate screeds like this one by Quigley and the Hot Air post referenced here will only infuriate Gingrich supporters when Mitt Romney needs them the most.
If Romney doesn't call off his rabid dogs, he may find himself finishing in second place in a landslide general in November. His Mittwit supporters are beginning to make Ron Paul's legion of Ronulans appear to be sane and generous of spirit by contrast.
I don’t even know where to start to show how wrong this rant is...so I won’t.
Honest to goodness, every once in a while, I contemplate voting for RuPaul. I swear he looks better on a lot of issues than mittens , and certainly better than obammy.
Newt was a Romney plant... Romney persuaded Newt to enter the race so as to decimate the other candidates then when his loss was eminent, to throw support back to Romney... Betcha...
I know where to start:
“Those with substantive contention like Ron Paul have a better way of expressing themselves.”
Ronulan liberals pretending to be conservatives have been a cancer in this primary.
I guess this writer missed all the debates.
I like Mr. Gingrich. To most spineless GOP hacks, Politics is dropping trow, grabbing ankles, and waiting for the Democrat.
What Gingrich is this guy talking about?
Now setting the stage for 2016 with a campaign slogan: "You should have picked me last time".
Truth is, Americans see right thru Perry as the wet finger wind testing fraud he is.
I supported Rick Perry until he dropped out, and I still believe he is the best-suited man we have for the office of the presidency. But this article is pure bull. And to prove it:
“Next to Romney, Perry was the only other one on stage deserving the post of president.”
Also, I do not agree that Perry has destroyed his political career. Wait until we’ve had four more years of Obama, or four years of Bishop Homo Abortion. Perry learned quite a few lessons from his presidential campaign. People might have the sense to wake up and appreciate him then, should he decide to run.
And your proof for that hare-brained contention would be... what, exactly?
Sophomoric garbage written by a clueless pundit and not worth dignifying beyond that.
To get a rile out’a some of you guys takes only seconds... gives me the chuckles...
Ohh man... you guys make my day...
All I had to read was that this author thinks Gingrich is the source of all the bile and so on - meaning this sycophantic idiot missed the entire primary season where Newt was demonstrably the VERY LAST CANDIDATE to attack other Republicans (besides Herman Cain, who left the race before most of this started). What a pathetic analysis.
Who is this cur?
With a name like Quigley, Bernie, I think I get the picture and he needs a girlfriend. Maybe he IS one, I don’t know.
But, he has “messed with the wrong Marine”, replacing Bush bashing which was so very popular, with Newt bashing and no evidence but his own adjectives and media fed interpretation.
Because Newt is political infantry in spades with a record to prove it, Bernie is needing to press his shorts.
All I can say about this keyboard jockey is “ick”!
I get’cha on that one!
Bernie will really be mad when I write in NEWT.
THAT is probably the very outcome Bernie Quigley is worried about, thus the rant against him.
If I were to believe you, and every other "(fill in the blank) was a Romney plant" theorist, I would be much more enthusiastic about a Romney candidacy. If the guy can control politicians and events the way some claim, he could easily out maneuver Axlerod...jusayin'.
You know, there’s something wrong with the term “political career”. Our founding fathers didn’t look on politics as a career.
Too slow a week? Or what?
