Here's a link to my latest oil painting. You can go to my homepage and see some of my other works! Not trying to sell anything and nothing's for sale anyway. Just sharing my artwork. Thanks for looking!
Nice. My daughter is a painter and has started playing around with oils. Is that imaginary or an actual view? Looks like it might be a bend in the Hudson River.
Wow...!
I really like your Civil War stuff, e.g., Letter from Home.
Thanks for sharing! My Grandmother was a very well-known water-colorist in this area, Akron/Cleveland, and my interest began as a two-year old, sitting, and watching Grandma paint Poppies in the park. Enjoy your work very much.
enjoyed your work.
There were once quit a few artist on FR. Don’t know if they are still around or not.
We have a garden group, poets, recipes etc. Maybe you could start an art/photography group.
The painting I am working on now, top of the home page is based on an area of the Susquehanna near Liverpool, PA. That’s above Harrisburg by about 40 minutes or so.
Thanks. It’s been awhile since I’ve done any Civil War work. I have some ideas for a few new paintings I hope to start by next year, or maybe by the end of this year. I love the period, the principles and the courage these men and women displayed. Such a love of country of both sides.
Very nice, I bookmarked your site.
Very nice!
You have a gift, Mike. Beautiful work.
They are all breathtaking!!
I know spit about art....but I love the piece. Very nice.
no you have to be a liberal if you want to get taken seriously as an artist...........according to the liberals that is. Michael Kincaide, whose art was scorned by the “art community” claimed probably correctly that his was the most collected art in the country.
Thanks for sharing, I very much like your work, especially the Civil War pieces .... my family has a lot of Civil War history (my dad’s grandparents home was the site of a historic battle) and I’m trying to track down my other grandfather’s Confederate unit. The letter reading paintings in particular pull on the heart strings.
Yeah, Norman Rockwell was also scorned when I was in college. They never referred to him as an artist, just an “illustrator.” You can be an illustrator and still produce art. At the same time though, they would call people who canned their own feces artists. They art world has become very corrupted the past 60 years or more.
