In light of Trayvon Martin‘s death, Seminole State College has expelled George Zimmerman, the man who shot Martin. The college released a statement Thursday addressing the “high-profile controversy” — citing student safety as the sole reason.
The statement said:
“Due to the highly charged and high-profile controversy involving this student, Seminole State has taken the unusual but necessary step this week to withdraw Mr. Zimmerman from enrollment. [...] This decision is based solely on our responsibility to provide for the safety of our students on campus as well as for Mr. Zimmerman.”
The Orlando Sentinel reports Zimmerman was working toward an Associate in Arts degree:
Zimmerman, 28, first enrolled at the college in 2003 and was working toward a vocational certificate to become an insurance agent. He re-enrolled in 2009 and was working toward an Associate in Arts degree in a general studies program, according to the college.

I KNOW people who have had to pull a gun because they were being beaten up by someone bigger and stronger than them. Fists are deadly force, too. Think it through before condemning Zimmerman.

NEW YORK (AP) - No one knows what led a Florida neighborhood watch captain to shoot Trayvon Martin, a teenager carrying no weapon.
But a new study raises an intriguing question: Could the watch captain have been fooled into thinking the youth was armed in part because he himself was holding a gun?
In the study, volunteers who held a toy gun and glimpsed fleeting images of people holding an object were biased toward thinking the object was a gun.
It’s another indication that the brain shapes what we perceive in the world beyond the information that comes in through our eyes, said James Brockmole of the University of Notre Dame, who did the work with psychologist Jessica Witt at Purdue University.,,,

DD,everytime a perp gets taken out, the person who used self-defense is the culprit in the eyes of the mindless wonders. This whole incident is the cause the deceased for not obeying the law aginst trespassing in a gated community.
Zimmerman used the required force to save his life or he would have been beat to death. What we have is a punk with an attitude and probably a racist getting his just in due form.
My neighborhood is not gated, but when I see someone in the area I do not know, they are checked out in a professional manner. I do carry concealed legally, but hope I never have to shoot someone. Your posts make good and sound logic to people who have not drank the koolaid.

even if he is 6’2 instead of 6’0, a 28 yr old man by way of testosterone and age, will be much more developed than a 17 yr old.

and where do you find grounds to call the kid a “punk with attitude”? if you listen to the 911 tapes, Zimmerman is more of the punk with attitude, a guy who wouldn’t even listen to the 911 operator who told him not to confront someone. there was no crime being committed by the kid. so how is the kid a perp?
Some folks can only afford to take one or two classes a semester. It’ll take you a while just to work through all of the Federally mandated “classes”.
If it’s insignificant, why is the media using 3 year old babyface teen pictures, of a much smaller kid?

Size is a factor in the dead kids beating on the shooter.
The left sees this event as an opportunity to attack the self defense laws, concealed carry, and whites in general.
They care nothing for the dead 17 yr old.
Zimmerman didn’t afford the presumption of innocence to Trayvon. Zimmerman had him tried and convicted for walking on a public sidewalk. What’s good for the goose.

Well, this 6'3", 160lb, 17 year old footbal player you call a "kid" was assaulting and battering Zimmerman, who had a broken nose, a bloody face, and had been knocked to the ground while calling for help, at the time he was shot - according to eye witnesses.
But of course, he was BLACK.
So of course you're right, there was no crime being committed by the tender child, who was brutally cut down just as he was turning his life around, simply because he had black skin and was wearing a hoodie.
