The Intel Hub alerts us to a shocking new defense contract entered by the Department of Homeland Security to secure a massive amount of ammunition, with the option for infinite supply, infinite delivery.
ATK Awarded Contract to Supply 450 Million Rounds of .40 Caliber Ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security
ATK has secured a major Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity deal to supply up to 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition to the Department of Homeland Security.
The 1 year contract with four option years comes at a time when many Americans believe that DHS, along with certain aspects of the military, will soon turn their sights on the American people during some sort of martial law scenario.
We are proud to extend our track record as the prime supplier of .40 caliber duty ammunition for DHS, ICE, said Ron Johnson, the president of ATKs Security and Sporting group, reported a PR Newswire release.
The Department of Homeland Security has been extremely busy in the last few months.

I was going to 9mm but it seems .40 is the better bet
I will send to bunches of people tomorrow.
Thank you.
Ping me!
.40 is still too much for some females.
But the standardization argument is valid. I saw it happen regularly in my dad’s police department. Over 20 years they went from .38 revolvers to ruger 9mm, to s&w 10mm, to glock .40s. They basically were following the lead of the state police and the fbi. Really hated giving up the 10mm.
Not a problem. There’s a Glock G23 on my hip as I write this. Also a G22 in the safe.
Coupon?
You ever seen the majority of these people shoot? Most couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. And if they did hit the broadside of a barn they'd squeal like little girls and throw their gun up in the air.
I was once at an indoor range and had a group of staties in the lane next to me. Three yards, THREE FREAKING YARDS, and they were barely on the target. I moved my target to three yards just so they could see how bad they really were.
I just can't imagine anyone picking up a new rifle without at least one box of 20; or a new pistol without at least one box of 50.
The discusion has come up on The High Road a few times over the years. Here's one link from there for 1997 data.
http://www.census.gov/prod/ec97/97m3329f.pdf . Table 6a on page 15 has the data for 1997
They use it in their sub-guns too (which I realize is only slightly better than what you said).
So...applying normal LEO shooting percentages, they should each expect at least 10 hits!
Hell, these days the milk inspector carries and has full tac gear in the trunk. Them Swede dairy farmers can get fractious, dontcha know!
No worries. The American public purchased over 9 billion rounds shortly before and including up to slightly over a year after Obama’s election. It was quite a story at the time but you don’t hear much about it now. Google it and I think you will find archived stories.
If it looks like obammy and the socialists are going to lose come November then look for this martial law grab. Along with military units searching to confiscate our guns.
Good luck with that.
I’m hoping against hope that our military will not follow illegal orders by this marxist Kenyan poser.
The police dept. here in Austin, TX. recently required all officers to carry .40 S&W.
I thught it was sort of strange at the time.
I D I Q contracts stand for “indefinite” not infinite.
Perhaps there’s only so many obama bucks left in the stash. Next comes obama rounds...
An army armed with pistol ammunition? Do they get out much?
