An initial investigation into the case of five U.S. soldiers caught burning Qurans in Afghanistan found it to be nothing more than a mistakethat the servicemen unwittingly added the books into their routine trash pickup.
Nonetheless, in retaliation, Afghan security forces turned on U.S. troops, killing six. And still, Barack Obama issued a diplomatic apology.

If these soldiers are subjected to an afgani court, with sharia law - that is an important line in the sand.
Remember, these backward courts recently sentenced a 16 year-old rape victim to marry her rapist. We cannot allow our soldiers to be subjected to these sharia courts.

If this comes to pass I think there's a Willie Horton moment the Republicans take advantage of:

There should be no disciplinary measures at all. The soldiers were only doing their job as instructed by their commanders.
I think it’s designed to bring back the draft.

Obozo has spent the first three years of his administration going around the world apologizing for America’s greatness. Why would it surprise anyone he’d offer up members of our military as sacrificial lambs to Muslims???

Didn't the Korans have some type of communication code written in them?
The terrorists were using them to pass messages?

When was the last time 0bama went to Afghanistan? 'Official' business wise, I don't know. Leisurely, I think it was in high school, when he took a goat to the prom.

I don’t know what that means, but, as I understand the military command structure, the superior soldier is supposed to look out for the soldiers underneath them and ensure that orders given can be obeyed with good fath that obeying them will not cause an elisted soldier to suffer peanlties for following orders.
According to the details given in the story, the soldiers simply obeyed orders and the orders given were not inherently illegal or immoral unto themselves.
Therefore, there should be no consequences for having followed orders.
