Now that Rick Santorum has won the Kansas caucus with a whopping 51% of the vote, he is very much in the running to be President of The United States. Being outspent by Romney more than ten to one, and still winning primaries and caucuses in numerous states, it is clear that Rick Santorum is far more popular with the heartland masses than the Mitt, who is attempting to buy the Presidency.
So just what is Mitts biggest selling point? His campaign keeps playing their trump card mantra over and over: Mitt Romney is the only Republican candidate who can beat Barack Obama in November.
Where exactly do they get that? And what did they put in the Kool-aid that has been force fed to voters by the mass media? Its got to be one of the most bizarre lies ever hatched in politics. They are totally ignoring the fact that the latest Rasmussen Poll shows Santorum AHEAD of Obama in a one to one match-up!
So instead of reporting real news like this, the major media is temporarily propping up their man Mitt, but just as soon as he clinches the GOP slugfest, the network news and newspapers will be carving him up, making a mince meat feast: Roast Romney.
Some reporters are already prepping their soon-to-be headline stories about Morons posthumously baptizing Adolf Hitler and a 9-11 terrorist hijacker! And this is just the entre. The main course includes Mitts brutal Bain Capital corporate raids responsible for putting thousands of people out of jobs. Oh, and the just deserts? We shudder to think of what they might be.
In contrast, there is not much the media can do to carve up a relatively boring squeaky clean Boy Scout like Rick.
Truth be told, the major media is afraid of a one to one match-up in November of a corrupt community organizer who may not even be a U.S. citizen vs. an all American crusader fighting Washington corruption. Bottom line: Santorum wins! But that is IF he can beat Mitt and Mitts fair weather media friends and the GOP good ol boy establishment who keeps ponying up the likes of Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney.
I've lived in the LA area longer than that. Durocher served as a coach with the LA Dodgers when they beat the Yanks four staight in the 1963 World Series. Sure, the quote, as well as the "nice guys" statement is probably out of context, but I still like it.
Santorum has won more states and delegates.
The only face off Santorum will have with Obama is when he and the MSM rips off his conservative mask.
Gosh,If only Newt would get on the ballot and get everyone else to quit,I know he could win,,,
(I got the following off the net, but make your own decisions folks)
The Mormon Church Attempts to Conceal Temple Records for Adolf Hitler
"Like a slippery snake in the grass, the Mormon Church may have tried to dodge public criticism by denying its questionable proxy recognition of Adolf Hitlerthe amoral and evil Nazi genius who was responsible for the terror and barbarism of the Third Reich and the loss of millions of innocent lives before and during World War II. But LDS ordinance records speak for themselvesMormons have repeatedly claimed the unpopular Hitler. Anything stated to the contrary cannot alter this conclusion.
. Deception is not the hallmark of a church with integrity. As the Mormon Church will eventually find outeven the most artful serpent can be choked by its own coils!"

Yep geraldmcg, the liberal media will throw everything at rino (serpent?)Mitt.
Go Santorum / or / Go Newt, but not the rino Mitt
Exactly.
Outspent yes but even more of an uphill climb, three, yes count them, three other candidates are running non-stop hit ads on Santorum. Romney, Paul, and Gingrich are running the ads and they’re relentless. The fact that Santorum can even place is amazing.

Was just listening to an old song:
“From all I’ve seen of politics
It’s just a greasy money stick
Geared to run on tongues so slick
To make you think this is all there is...
You’ve got Romney”
“How they con the little middle man
Into thinking he has got a hand
To play in the future of the promised land
He owes himself to the destiny of man
Gets ridiculous”
Written by Jerry Jeff Walker (”The Ballad of the Hulk”) in 1968.
I substituted only one word.
What’s changed?
Santorum would be a fabulous President. And he’s already shown he can survive Obama’s attacks by winning after being outspent 20 to 1.
True enough. Romney has had an easier ride than Santorum. One of the superPacs is still running anti Santorum ads here in Michigam.
Did Romney ever had a pray in Kansas? That he was #2 there tells us something, but I’m afraid it’s not ‘...the race becomes one between Santorum and Newt.’
Santorum is a nice guy...but he is a piker...a neophyte.
The Left (an evil which operates in unison) would pick him apart limb from limb.
Unless of course Newt freezes up like he did when Romney actually went after him. In fact, I haven't seen Newt "eviscerate" anyone who actually challenged him in a debate. I think his great debate ability rests on being able to hit back at the press (which he also failed to do in that debate) and articulate his positions better than most.
But the deer-in-the-headlights moment still scares me. One debate like that with Obama and the MSM will obliterate him.
Hell, they're running attack ads on Santorum in Pennsylvania, just in case I guess.
We’re not really talking about Mr. Obama, we’re talking about who will face him in November on the Republican ticket. Focus, please. Do you really see winning 50% of 1% of a small state’s GOP voters as an indicator that former Senator Santorum can beat Mr. Obama in 50 states? That’s almost as bad as predicting the race based on the Ames straw poll!!
As a Kansas resident, I can tell you that one of the positive aspects of living in this state, is that the other residents, save for Topeka and Lawrence are very conservative.
So Santorum’s victory, in my opinion, was a forgone conclusion, and not an example of Santorum’s ability to beat Obama in the fall.
“.... as slick a talker as the O...”
###
Slick? He stumbles to complete a simple thought and speaks in empty, puerile platitudes.
Mythology on the level of the oily Clintons’ intelligence.
Section 8 housing was invented to import Democrat voters into conservative states.
Imagine what Team Obama and the Democrats will do with that information in the Fall...
“As a Kansas resident, I can tell you that one of the positive aspects of living in this state, is that the other residents, save for Topeka and Lawrence are very conservative”.......you ever spent anytime in KCK?
