SANTORUM WINS KANSAS, SHOWING HE IS THE ONE TO FACE-OFF AGAINST OBAMA IN NOVEMBER

Now that Rick Santorum has won the Kansas caucus with a whopping 51% of the vote, he is very much in the running to be President of The United States. Being outspent by Romney more than ten to one, and still winning primaries and caucuses in numerous states, it is clear that Rick Santorum is far more popular with the heartland masses than the Mitt, who is attempting to buy the Presidency.

So just what is Mitt’s biggest selling point? His campaign keeps playing their ‘trump’ card mantra over and over: “Mitt Romney is the only Republican candidate who can beat Barack Obama in November.”

Where exactly do they get that? And what did they put in the Kool-aid that has been force fed to voters by the mass media? It’s got to be one of the most bizarre lies ever hatched in politics. They are totally ignoring the fact that the latest Rasmussen Poll shows Santorum AHEAD of Obama in a one to one match-up!

So instead of reporting real news like this, the major media is temporarily propping up their man Mitt, but just as soon as he clinches the GOP slugfest, the network news and newspapers will be carving him up, making a mince meat feast: Roast Romney.

Some reporters are already prepping their soon-to-be headline stories about Morons posthumously baptizing Adolf Hitler and a 9-11 terrorist hijacker! And this is just the entre. The main course includes Mitt’s ‘brutal’ Bain Capital corporate raids responsible for putting thousands of people out of jobs. Oh, and the just deserts? We shudder to think of what they might be.

In contrast, there is not much the media can do to carve up a relatively ‘boring’ squeaky clean Boy Scout like Rick.

Truth be told, the major media is afraid of a one to one match-up in November of a corrupt community organizer who may not even be a U.S. citizen vs. an all American crusader fighting Washington corruption. Bottom line: Santorum wins! But that is IF he can beat Mitt and Mitt’s fair weather media friends and the GOP ‘good ol’ boy establishment who keeps ponying up the likes of Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney.

The one proper response to that is Tennessee, to some extent. Besides that Rick’s victories have been tiny voter populations. Now it’s been a great strategy because its fooled a lot of people - and Faux News is pretending to be fooled because they’d rather their boy Mitt deal with Santorum than Newt - but putting the strategy aside, I will continue to point it out.

Gosh, I thought CO was a decent size. And Rick damn near tied Mitt for OH & MI. Santorum's showing in these 'big' states has been overall far better than Newt's.

gosh, I thought you knew the difference between a caucus and a primary. Guess I over estimated you. Sorry, I’ll not do that again.

The race is not over.

Losers always want everybody else to give up the instant their guy gets one inch ahead a mile from the finish line.

Your “big state” - Colorado, had only 66 thousand folks vote total in their caucus. RS got about 26 thousand of them.

The U of S Carolina football stadium holds 90 thousand. Almost ten times as many folks voted in the SC primary as the Colorado Caucus. Almost 15 times as many voted in the Georgia Primary as Colorado.

Yeah, big states and “small” states indeed. Do your homework and bring it before you get in this game.

Apparently no one ever was. Only 30 thousand voters. A non event. A blip. Much ado about nothing. Santorum make 'dink and dunk' his way to the nomination because we live in a nation of mathematical idiots and because the news media is going along with the "counting states" hocus pocus" with RS because they want him to face Obama. But reality will sink in at some point. You cannot overcome demographics at some point. I just hope we learn this lesson before the General Election.

I simply have a hard time letting folks pretend that 15 thousand votes is some kind of national tidal wave.

Fair enough. As someone who is okay with either of these guys (but NOT Mitt), I'm here to proclaim a pox on both houses, figuratively speaking. Santorum's victory yesterday is not the non-event that Newt supporters want to claim nor is it likely to be the watershed moment that Santorum supporters claim. However, for all ABR people, it was good news.

There's no "game" with me. I'd like to Santorum get credit for what's he's accomplished and I post accordingly. But if your "game" is to constantly counter any good news for Santorum with an angle to dismiss it, you win. I don't have the time or interest for that nonsense.

I would agree with you, and I “over shoot” the other way to correct the notion that there’s some kind of massive voter love for RS when he wins these teeny little events.
