For 10-year-old San Clemente twins Avery and Emma Lalor, raising a golden retriever/poodle from a 25-pound pup to a 95-pound service dog is a project they wish would never end. But they hope Tahoe ends up with a wounded veteran.

There is healing in a faithful dog. God bless them.

Now imagine a world where all of the daughters of inner city Welfare Queens and illegal aliens are in the girl scouts with the support of both their mother AND FATHER.

What a world that would be. All of those children doing productive, constructive social activities.

The truth behind multiculturalism is that some cultures are clearly inferior and children raised in those cultures end up contributing little or nothing to society while embracing crime and drugs and illegitimacy.

And some cultures tell their sons that it's OK to do anything here, things that they would never get away with in their home countries.

Actually, GS is quite liberal. They’ve allowed homos in their groups for years, never mind PCness.

Much that they do is still worthy, of course, but they support to much garbage in the process.

A very nice and positive thing for kids to do, but at the risk of sounding like a naysayer, why would the organization choose a dog with a coat that is going to require a lot of upkeep? Looking at the images, I can guarantee that dog will require lots of grooming.

Brylea,

A German Shepherd would require as much brushing and grooming as this dog.

No, that coat will require clipping, otherwise it will likely be a matted mess. I’ve had a shepherd and I’ve had a coat similar to this. Golden coats require brushing (altho if you don’t brush them often they shouldn’t mat). Poodle coats are a different matter. I would think a service dog should be low maintenance.
