Helen Radkey is a very important person to the mainstream media. To this point, both MSNBC and CNN have used her expertise to dip their toes in the water about how best to attack Mitt Romney over the issue of his religion (if he becomes the nominee). Radkey has a treasure trove of opposition research waiting for the left to dump on the American people at just the right time. It consists of the names of Holocaust victims, serial killers, notorious tyrants and dictators, fictitious characters, and mass murderers who have all been posthumously baptized into the Mormon religion.
I reached out to Radkey and asked her if she knew of any instances in which deceased Muslims have been baptized into the Mormon faith.
Here is what she said:
To date, I have a handful of Mormon records that show attempts to baptize Mohammed, and I also have a baptism for a 9/11 hijacker, and copies of entries for 14 others, that show these names were submitted for proxy rites.
If we've learned anything since 9/11, it's that Muslims are more than just a little hypersensitive about their religion. Seemingly any show of disrespect for either Islam or its prophet Mohammed can be met with deadly violence. Most recently, in Afghanistan, when the U.S. Military was involved in the burning of Islamic materials, to include defaced Qur'ans, deaths have resulted.
How would the Muslim world react if it found out that the Republican nominee for President...

There are nuts in every religion.
Wait until Catholics/Christians hear the things that that romney believes about Jesus, Mary, God the Father,..... that will make them angry.
“several attempts to Baptize Mohammed”
What, the water refused to receive him?
I’m Catholic and I’m not angry at Romney regarding his religion. And I can safely say that about all the Catholics I know,.
Why in the world does anybody care what a flaky cult does in its jujube ceremonies?
They can’t “baptize” anybody who’s dead, and in fact Christian churches do not even consider Mormon baptisms of living people to be true baptisms, so what’s the big deal?
I’m actually more worried about Romney’s apparent conviction that he is the fulfillment of some Mormon “prophecy.” We’ve got too many people running around right now who see themselves as the fulfilment of some non-Christian cult’s prophecies, be they Muslims or Mormons.
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to go to a Heaven that let Mo in.
Not that I was ever going to convert, anyway, but if I had been considering it, this would have killed it for me.
I guess it didn’t take.
I guess it didn’t take.
Didn’t Jesus himself teach Christians to pray for those who persecute them and offered forgiveness to those who crucified him as he was dying n the cross? If Mormons want to do something similar so what. These pious acts are far preferable than for Muslims to declare death and vengeance against someone who may have “offended” their religion with a cartoon or “desecrated” their Koran.
I guess it didn’t take.
A good friend of mine, Catholic from the day she was born, isn't exactly angry at Romney for his beliefs. She just thinks he and all Mormons are certifiably nuts.
All of this primary consternation is off focus. The only question at this point is; ‘which one can defeat Zero?’ We can equitably work out the small stuff after he is history.
I hardly think Romney and his liberalism are small stuff; nor do I think it’s “off focus” to try and make sure we get a conservative as our nominee.
I look at how person lives his personal life. His family and how he treats his spouse. So do they.
Do you believe that a person can be a decent and productive citizen and be a Mormon at the same time?
D0 you know Christans who can spout off the Bible chapter and verse but are anything but Christian in how they lead their lives?
I don’t buy the claim that some Mormons aren’t familiar with their church doctrine. Isn’t it one’s responsibility to become thoroughly familiar with one’s own religion?
What does decency and productivity have to do with anything? Why introduce these strawmen? Did I say anything about Mormons being scum, or Mormons not working for a living? (Although, let’s be factual, some of those multiple wives in the fundamentalist sects ARE fraudulently collecting food stamps and welfare benefits).
Why are you upset? Do you know anything about Mormon beliefs, and how they contradict Scripture and Christianity?
Have you seen the pic, posted here on FR, of Romney with his magic underwear showing underneath his shirt? Sheesh.
