In a rather strange joke, Friess said: "This contraception thing, my gosh it's so inexpensive. Back in my day they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives, the gals put it between their knees and it wasn't that costly." Friess is presumably saying all women who didn't want to become pregnant were abstinent and thus had no need for birth control.

In the end, it all comes down to personal responsibility, doesn't it? Morally and financially, you make your choices, and the consequences follow.

Until government gets in the way and introduces a lot of unintended consequences.

I saw that. I was speechless. My husband would tell you that does not happen often.

Actually, there is a Pope-approved contraceptive. It’s a 200 pound 2 meters in diameter pill that the wife puts against the door before going to bed so that the husband couldn’t enter her bedroom.

It’s pretty clear the left is going to use the issue of contraceptives as a distraction from the depression this election and Steponallofus was in on the plan from the beginning.

And you have no ideal how long that old statement has been around. My mom had one, she said a girl that runs through the brier patch never knew what brier stuck her.

During the Great Depression the birth rate plummeted and there were no birth control pills or legal abortions. How did that happen?

As a young man, I found that a little booze can dissolve an aspirin.

I guess he was telling Andrea Mitchell to stick an aspirin between her knees.

Interesting that the media is creating this paranoia that Rick Santorum wants to outlaw birth control. No one who is honest with him/herself can believe that. It is possible to have a religious belief and not want to foist it on the whole country. That's what our personal and religious freedom is all about!

However, Obama is foisting his Gaia worship and liberation theology on the nation and the media cheers. No one escapes Obama's penalties for success or using the energy that success requires. Conservatives haven't even hit upon this, that I know of.

Love it.

It’s bullsh*t stating that it’s hundreds of dollars a year (which is what the Marxist was saying in a speech last week) for birth control. Even without insurance it is cheap.

This is nothing more than a ploy to make it sound like Santorum and supporters (and in general ALL republicans/conservatives) are radical. boo hoo they won’t let me murder my baby ...boo hoo I can’t prevent pregnancy cause the mean old republicans/conservatives took away my birth control. All lies of course. How many realize that they are lies?

So...in the final analysis, maybe they SHOULD try holding an aspirin between their knees. lol...that’s a good one.

I'm glad that the condescending schmuck who wrote this piece of garbage clarified this point for me. After all, I *AM* a right winger, and thus endowed with a lower mental capacity than most libs.
