Rick Santorum tells South Carolina voters that he is the only conservative purist in the field, attacking Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney for being unreliable conservatives. Well, THE FREEDOMIST has already exposed Rick Santorum for his betrayal of a core conservative value, the right to work, the protection against Union thuggery. He is FOR right to work but NEVER votes for right to work legislation. He also endorsed Arlen Specter in his 1996 Presidential run, in 2004 against true conservative Pat Toomey, AND even endorsed Mitt Romney in his 2008 Presidential run. Well, worse than even his right to vote betrayal and his endorsements of RINOS and future democrats was the work that he did as a Senator in the Clinton years, when he and Trent Lott undermined the Senate efforts to bring Bill Clinton to trial after the House impeached him for lying under oath.
Thats right, this pure conservative, who attacks like a tiny lap dog (see Thursdays debate for a classic example of what an attack lap dog looks like when he nips at the heels of others), was instrumental, along with Trent Lott, in stopping the Clinton Impeachmment proceeedings, in rescuing Bill Clinton from facing a fair trial of his peers. This action should not be surprising to the people who remember how aggressively Rick Santorum worked to torpedo a true conservative, Pat Toomey, in 2004, from removing a future democrat and former RINO, Arlen Specter.
Here is all the proof you need to see that Santorum, in fact, killled the impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton, just another reflection of how Santorum is the face of Conservative Purity in Name Only (CPINO- which also sounds like the name of an exotic small wolf dop that yips and yips and yips at everyone ankles):....

lol
The Romney smear machine is up and running on Santorum now.
I seriously hate Romney.
Well, apparently there are no conservatives in the race, I might as well not vote at all.
Wow-—you may be right.
Just wow.
People going to Santorum seem to be doing so because they are comparing an unvetted Santorum to a fully vetted Gingrich, which is unfair. Let’s see how they like Santorum after they hear about all his betrayals of conservatism as well as his corruption (like his “leadership PAC” which only spent 18% of its money on candidates, with the money mostly going to everyday expenses like Starbucks and Wal Mart).
Ya, ya, ya... no one is as conservatively pure as Newt or Mitt, bla,bla bla...
Just remember, the most popular player on a losing football team is the backup quarterback.
“a true conservative, Pat Toomey”
who couldn’t wait to repeal DADT right after he was sworn in.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard.
Santorum has a lifetime 95% conservative vote rating from the American Conservative Union. His voting record in the Senate was among the most conservative — not as conservative as Jim DeMint or Rand Paul, but very good. I also believe he understands the times we’re in.
Once Santorum starts to challenge the lead, as it is now perceived, the opposition research will begin to be unleash on him.
Clinton WAS impeached. He was impeached by the HOUSE.
It was in the news and its in all the history books. Check it out for yourself.
However SENATOR Santorum voted ‘guilty’ on both accounts (Perjury and Obstruction of Justice)
The article fails. Fails miserably.
Where’s that popcorn gif when I need it?
I never did understand that.
Ooh, Santo, you are getting close to the target now!! Incoming. Of course the knives come out as you do better and better.
Agree. Whoever is doing this, fact is Santorum is the one truly consistent conservative in this race.
“People going to Santorum seem to be doing so because they are comparing an unvetted Santorum to a fully vetted Gingrich, which is unfair. “
Newt’s biggest problem isn’t his past but what he is currently doing and saying. Everyone left Newt for dead after he attacked Paul Ryan’s plan.
The only reason why he’s still here is because everyone else dropped out and Newt does have interesting things to say but that doesn’t mean people want him to be the next commander in chief.
It's not a smear, if it's true...
