The denizens of the Philadelphia Inquirer are wishin' and hopin' and, well not prayin' of course, that their sinking ship is purchased by a group of city business leaders organized by famous Philadelphia sports fan Ed Rendell who one-time chaired the Democrat National Committee and was once our governor.

Years ago, I did a lot of business there and had an apartment, but even though it was in a very upscale area, I never felt safe in that city.
Philly is as corrupt with demonRATs as NY, Chicago or Detroit.
Let it sink into the toilet bowl and take that liberal rag with it.
As strange as it may sound it has gotten safer. Murders dropped by about a quarter starting in 1995 which-- certainly coincidentally -- is the year the state made the city start allow concealed carry.
But I sympathize with where you are coming from. Pa. would be as conservative as Texas without Philly.

Larry Schweikert (FReeper LS) wrote years ago that Democrat operatives would buy media properties and run them at a loss so as to keep their mouthpieces operating. I think they’re throwing their money away.
