This youngster knows Barnet well, grew up with some Barnet sheet music (BLue Bird collection?) in the house. Cherokee tenor solo is one of my favorites.
The “head,” with Charlie playing soprano lead, is a terrific sound. Also, for those who are really interested in Charlie’s life story, his autobiography, “Those Swing Years,” is a great read.
