Defendant, President Barack Obama, a candidate seeking the Democratic nomination for the office of the President of the United States, has filed a motion to quash the subpoena compelling his attendance at the hearing on January 26, 2012.

That's right! A victory in Ga. may lead to challenges in other states and raise questions in voters' minds as why Obama is not responding to these torts. He may be thinking that he wouldn't win these state anyway. But failure to respond to more challenges will raise the question "WHY??" even among independents.
And, as Janice Okubo, director of communications for the Hawaii Department of Health, explains, no-one who was born abroad could get a certificate saying they were born in Hawaii.
"If you were born in Bali, for example," Ms Okubo told the Washington Independent, "you could get a certificate from the state of Hawaii saying you were born in Bali. You could not get a certificate saying you were born in Honolulu. The state has to verify a fact like that for it to appear on the certificate."
If one was to take a boat from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mombasa, Kenya, then Bali, Indonsia, could be a port of call along the way. A pregnant Stanley Ann Dunham Obama may have given birth while stopped in Bali. Thus Spokesbabe Okubo may have been telling us that Obama's birth certificate SHOULD say he was born in Bali, but maybe the records were fudged to say Obama was born in Honolulu because the DOH couldn't verify Obama was born in Bali. This is why it is important for the HI DOH to release any and all records pertaining to Obama's birth.
I thought this came up during Bush administration and it was shown a sitting President could not be compelled to attend court hearings (or else that’s all they would ever be doing). Regardless, people on here should be careful what they wish for. Obama can be beat in November but if he doesn’t run, who thinks that Cankles Clinton would be beaten? I think she probably would massacre Newt and certainly Mitt wouldn’t have a chance against her. I’m afraid she would pull in the Senate and House with her.
Oh so now he was born to a single mother.... as if daddy wasn’t married to mommy... gotcha.
Sorry Barry, if Mom and dad were married you aren’t illegitimate.
You already admitted you were born under the jurisdiction of Great Britain.
I hear ya, butterdez ...
TOO MANY cases like this have simply disappeared without a whimper. Lack of standing is the usual cause of death.
HOPEFULLY this one will play out, with popcorn all around on January 26. But I’m not betting the mortgage that the judge won’t “change his mind” or something similarly unexplainable before then.
It’s looking Phat, hawt, and richly buttered.
I have hope for this one.
(Spank) back to studying chemistry for me! I have to go describe polar covalent bonding in Organic molecules...sigh.
The reporter CLAIMS it was his mistake and that he "found" the information about Obama being born on the Internet. But this doesn't exactly add up because everthing else in the story was based on his interview with Tammy Duckworth. Why would a reporter create a fact based on a comment made by the subject of the interview. My bet is that Obama told this to Tammy Duckworth or that maybe she misunderstood that he lived there and was not born there. I know they retracted it, but the explanation just doesn't add up.
I already hold him in contempt.
He doesn’t need standing. He’s allowed to sit on the bench. ;p
Defendant argues hearing in Georgia would interrupt his duties as President.
The famous birther Michelle Obama told us that Obama’s mama was definitely single when “she had him” (which I think is birther slang for “gave birth to”). Of course, she is also the same birther who told us that Kenya is her husband’s home country. I think she knows what she’s talking about. The single SAD had him in Kenya.
Would be nice to see this slime ball go before a judge but it will never happen. Prescient alone says it will never happen.
Seems to me a ruling like this in one state, could set a precedent for other states.
Whoever the idiot was that thought that up, they missed the fact that he wasn’t raised IN KANSAS.
That may well be true, but as much as I would hate to see it, if that's the cost of adhering to the Constitution, so be it.
I think we’re past the lack of standing point in this case. Besides, that’s only a Federal point of law, although states have their own version of legal standing. But, ballot challenges are not based on the same principle as general civil lawsuits.
want to bet this judge has received more than one “friendly” phone call asking him to reconsider?
