Was Romney’s dad a citizen when Mitt was born?

His dad was an American Citizen at the time of Dullard’s birth and so was his mother.

Makes Mutt NBC.

George Wilcken Romney
July 8, 1907(1907-07-08)
Galeana, Chihuahua, Mexico

It does not state any thing about if George Romney became a American citizen yet the grandparents (if I am reading this correct) were Citizens.....I just do not understand this

"His dad was an American Citizen at the time of Dullard’s birth and so was his mother. Makes Mutt NBC."

Correct. Amazing that we are three years into the Usurper's reign, and folks here still don't understand the concept of natural born Citizen. Perhaps too much time spent on the X-factor threads.

It is not required that a prospective candidate’s parents be born in America, only that they be American citizens at the time of said prospective candidate’s birth.

A child born in the US to citizen parents is a NBC. If Mitten's daddy was a citizen he's in the clear.

OTOH, Barry Soetoro may have been born in the US but his daddy, a Kenyan citizen, was a British subject at the time and therefore he is not a NBC.

And the issue that Barry Soetoro was even born in the US is still in dispute, regardless of the “birth certificate”.

Well, of the grandparents were citizens then Romney’s father was indeed a citizen.

Could you be so kind as to tell me what it is that makes you so certain that Mitts father was a citizen. Do you have a source to support this assertion?

Just that I’m having trouble finding it myself.

Well, he ran for president in 1968 ... you know, back when people would have actually cared about things like natural born citizen.

Mitt’s father was born in Mexico.

Can I politely ask again what information you have that leads you to assert he later became a naturalized US citizen.

This is crucial to the argument. An assertion therefore should have something to support it.

I’m quite prepared to concede it is possible, or even probable, but before being sure, I’d need more than a mere assertion.

It doesn’t matter whether his father was a citizen. If you are born in the US you are a natural born citizen, no matter who your parents are.
