A last minute update. Reader TW informed me of a Tweet that Bare Naked Islam is back up on WordPress.com but must be gone by January 6th. A tweet says WordPress claims CAIR had nothing to do with their expulsion.

Yes, the final stake in the heart is the validation of homosexual activity as a Right. Sodomy is part of Satan’s cults and the glorification of sodomy in the military and schools is removing the Christian paradigm-—worldview—which we operated under for hundreds of years.
Virtue—moral rectitude was always written into all our laws. It is what determines Just Law—the First Principles—which all laws HAD to conform to....all positive law HAD to be in line with Right Reason according to Nature.
This removal in our Supreme Court—to believe in Objective Truth—which is the basis of our Natural Rights FROM GOD-—our inalienable rights—is the Standard which all law has to conform to—for Just Law.
All laws that defy God’s Laws are unjust—unequal law—arbitrary—man made up law-—exactly like the Nuremberg Laws—which were ruled Null and Void because of America’s Supra Positive Law.
We have now arbitrary laws which destroys the Constitution’s principles and underlying philosophy—Common Law principles, also—which makes those laws unconstitutional and null and void-—like homosexual “marriage” and Sodomy rights AND teaching anal sex to kindergarten students. Corrupting the minds of our children into evil worldview is EVIL, Jerry Brown!!!!!! You don’t put despicable ideas into the minds of young children unless you want them to model the behavior....hmmmmm....must be part of the Sandusky sex ring, huh, Brown???
That may be, but it has nothing to do with this. Wordpress will cease hosting Barenaked Islam because it has repeatedly printed the I.P. addresses of commenters which is against its terms of service.
I’m wondering if they allowed BNI to clean up their content.
If not, it boils down to an excuse to comply with CAIRs complaint. Otherwise, once the offending content is removed the site would be fine.

Is publishing the IP address of someone such a bad thing ?
With rudimentary and freely available software the IP address and much more information can be determined about any website, and a site will be able to track users accessing the site. The IP address is not a well-guarded secret; in between the user and server there can be “packet-sniffing” going on. A user should never assume that their IP address is a secret.
A user can make use of proxy tools to attempt to make their IP untraceable. They may or may not be successful, but the user certainly can attempt to thwart attempts at tracing them. Those who look at child porn have long been interested in completely anonymous access and used ip proxy tools to keep their true identity secret from any law enforcement that may be sniffing or going through logs of the porn site.
Not to mention - if the user doesn’t like how they are treated - why are they on the barenakedislam site anyway ??? If I’m posting to a website and I get flak, I leave - there’s no guarantee that I will be happy with every website I visit. If I think they are tracking my IP and using it for some nefarious or annoying purpose - I stop visiting the site !
Certainly BNI got into the issue by having this IP publication happening on their site. Of course they simply could have blocked users they felt so negatively about instead of publishing their IPs.
I also find it interesting that the wordpress TOS does not specifically say that IP addresses of users should not be revealed.
One only has to do a little googling to find all sorts of sites with all sorts of goings on - very crazy goings on - where people are going back and forth about who each other are and what they are up to.
The whole “revealing an IP” seems only an excuse.
And meanwhile, how many terrorists have blogs on wordpress ? People who DEFINITELY would fall into the categories of threatening or inciting seem a dime a dozen on wordpress.
Wordpress, in it’s wonderful tos agreement, finds nothing amiss with the following sites in terms of “creating threats” or “inciting violence”...

A google advanced search limiting the domain to wordpress.com that looks for some crazy search terms reveals sites that will make your hair stand on end.
Nobody complains, obviously because it’s the internet, which has tons of crazies on it.
But I guess when CAIR complains - BAM, you’re gone.
