I Will Vote for Governor Rick Perry in SC.

I have strolled down many roads this primary season. I have been intrigued by many of the candidates, some of who have had their rise and fall. They all have excellent attributes in one way or another that can attract a conservative voter. Even the former speaker who reminds me of the old “E.F. Hutton” commercials brought me on board for awhile despite his couching liaisons. However, the road I currently find myself on once again is the road with Governor Perry. I know that I am solidly on this road now. I know this because this is the first time my wallet has opened this primary season.

Now the question you may be asking yourself is why would I go back down this road with a candidate who registers at 8% in my own state. My answer: I am not an “American Idol” type of voter and frankly I believe most voters are becoming less so. Our great country is in trouble and at a major crossroads. The majority of Americans instinctively know this. I am more interested in what a candidate is saying, not how he is saying it. Governor Perry brings to the table a strong conservative record, bold ideas, and policy positions. I won’t go into detail here since it has been addressed so well in previous posts. All I want to do is share the fact that I have followed this race daily for quite awhile and have performed my own research/vetting process.

As stated above, I have been down some differing roads during this primary process. In fact, many of us out there have done so. Are there really that many folks out there that are so wishy-washy? The answer to this question is an emphatic NO! I beleive as many others do, that this may be our last chance to pull our country back from the brink and “right” its course. I like many others take that charge very seriously and my vote accordingly. Together we must take this historic opportunity and get it right.

I have weighed the pros and cons of all of the candidates. As we all know, they all have flaws. However, there is one who has led as the governor of a state the last ten years primarily as a consistent conservative. He is also one that says what he means and means what he says. Make no mistake, that is a very important attribute in a leader. It was one of the things I admired most about President Bush. The only problem was I didn’t always agree with what President Bush was saying. With Governor Perry I view getting the best of both worlds. Present are all of the outstanding leadership qualities of President Bush packaged into a true consistent conservative. By the way, are you all like me and very pleased that the phrase that pays “compassionate conservative” has now and rightly so, been replaced with the qualifying “consistent conservative”?

To use the old adage, Governor Perry is the candidate I would most like to have a beer with just like President Bush was. However, while having our beers, Governor Perry and I would be talking about how government should stop being looked to for solving our problems. Instead, we would be conversing about how to get government to be less intrusive in our lives. I have noticed that, when folks drink they tend to want to talk about solving the world’s problems. In this case Governor Perry and I would be talking about solving our great country’s problems and agreeing about how to do that probably 85- 90% of the time. With President Bush that entire conversation probably would not even take place. (Yes, I know he does not drink. That is not the point.)

Well for what it is worth, this is why I am now back on the road with Governor Perry. However, this time it is not a stroll. This time it is a pedal to the metal ride in a Mustang 5.0 drive to fix this country. This will probably be the best chance in my lifetime to really help “Right” this Country. I for one do not want to keep veering to the left. It won’t be an easy task. We may even have to take drastic measures like shoot a tire on the right side while doing 65mph to get the movement back in that “right” direction. It may shock us at first. I will definitely be bumpy. But it will begin taking us in the direction, not that we want to go but where we need to go.

I have asked myself which of these candidate is the one that is talking about such possible drastic measures and seems to have the guts to try to carry them through? To me it is the same one who called Social Security what it really is and did not back away from his remark when challenged on it. Even today he still refers to it accurately as a “Ponzi” scheme . Therefore, in the great state of South Carolina, on January 21st, 2012 I will be voting for Governor Perry.

In closing, as my father used to say in his deep theatrical voice, “and that, will do it”.

Your tagline says Perry and Obama are 100% the same.

That should be enough to see you can't be taken seriously.

By the way, losers lose. Perry has never lost.

Yep, your problem is, the rest of us can read.

After saying he would enjoy sitting down with Perry for a beer, just like he would’ve enjoyed having a beer with W except W doesn’t drink beer, the man said a huge “HOWEVER”, Perry and I would be talking about how to make the Federal Government less intrusive in our lives, we would not be talking about how they are the solution to all our problems.

You not only pretended the man never said, HOWEVER, we’d be talking about smaller government over the beer, and that’s what he likes about Perry, you pretended he never wrote the rest of his piece where in every line of the piece he gave reason after reason after reason after reason after reason why he was voting for Perry.

The line about the beer? At no time did he ever say he was voting for him because of that. He listed multiple reasons why, never once mentioned the having a beer as a reason to vote for him. Only that he was the kind of guy he’d like to have one with.

You don’t fool anyone. There’s hardly a soul here who is fooled by your nutty posts that show you can’t even read the material you are commenting about.

Either you don’t, or you can’t.

So long.

Nutty? You are the nutty person voting for a person who is getting 2 percent of the vote. YOU ALONE ARE GOING TO CAUSE US TO GET ROMNEY!!!! If he wins by 2 percent overall I will blame you FOREVER!!!!! You better hope that does not happen.

I don’t think I have ever read a more stupid reason to vote for someone

If you read more than one sentence, you already know that wasn't given as a reason to vote for Perry.

But it is encouraging that in an article full of good reasons to vote for Perry, you couldn't find something bad to say about ANY of those reasons, so you had to resort to picking a random sentence and pretending that was the argument.

Go Bachman. Unfortunately, she isn't going. Too bad, because she'd be a good pick. Heck, if she is still in the race, manages to get ON the Virginia ballot, and is more likely to beat Romney than Perry at that point, I'll probably vote for her.

I am waiting until I see which candidates are on my Virginia ballot before I pick who I'm going to vote for. That should be just after Christmas.

I’m thinking Romney gets in this race at some point. Crazier things have happened already.
