I checked out some SSNs of family numbers who have died. By plugging many numbers preceding and succeding those, I discovered the last 4 digits have not always been issued in sequence. That is with the first three digits and the next two being identical.

If you're just making a surmise or a deduction or a guess, as Berg is, you can't say "evidence points to the fact."
I may be wrong, but so far as I can make out, that refers to formal legal adoption or formal acknowledgment of a child born out of wedlock.
I doubt it applies simply to assuming financial or family responsibility for a wife's child by a previous marriage.

Just like soneone born in 1890, my dad was issued a Social Security number and he was born in 1902 and it was issued in 1936 just like everyone else that was employed in 1936.
It was issued to him in Los Angeles, California!

Even given the benefit of the doubt due to the varying international laws, nobama likely does not meet the standard if we look at the INTENT of the law, but may meet the standard under LETTER of the law as it now stands.
It is likely that the true facts will come out once he is no longer able to block any determination. Once the fact is out, hopefully we can use this instance to clarify the Natural Born Clause with requiring the applicant's proving and a clear step process to challenge such claim, in the future. I would additionally like to see the States require proof before allowing a name being placed on a ballot.
Since he has been openly using the name Barack Hussein Obama, and not intending to impersonate another person by that name, that is sufficient in most states to make this his legal name. This is true even if he was once named Barry Soetoro on some official documents.
Id like to know the first three numbers. So we know what state issued it.
