I think Herman is great, but I have already written off his candidacy. Warts and all, I now think Newt is our best chance.
Do you sleep, or just post anti-Cain stuff 24/7?
Did you actually watch it? Cain did fine!
I watched the whole 24 minute interview, and Cain clearly had the upper hand. The only way you could interpret it as you have, is to be decidedly anti-Cain, which I conclude you are.
Cain is fine and not many people watch Letterman. Moreover, on a Friday night.
It's not the main news so I don't think it's as bad as the anti-Cain camp is trying to portray it to be.
Long ago, I regularly watched ‘Late Night with David Letterman’, and one night G. Gordon Liddy appeared as a guest to promote his new autobiography, ‘Will’. David was, of course, fully prepared to mock and belittle the Watergate mastermind.
After a few back and forth jabs, Letterman referenced the chapter in Liddy’s book where Gordon addressed overcoming his fears by confronting them head on. For example, Liddy had a fear of lightning and so one day he climbed a tree during a lightning storm and sat in that tree until the storm passed.
As a young man Liddy also had an irrational fear of rats, and so one day he caught, cooked, and ate a rat. Letterman went after Liddy about this incident for a laugh, and finally Gordon (paraphrasing)replied, “Well, David, it was an exercise in overcoming my fear of rats. And now, I am no more afraid of a rat than I am... of you.”
Letterman shrunk to the size of a pea as the audience let out a breath in the knowledge that Liddy had just delivered a knockout punch.
The point is, if you are going to stroll into a lion’s den (or a rat’s nest) then be prepared to fight and defend yourself. I can’t bring myself to have any sympathy for Cain.
Deal with snarky liberal late night talk show hosts?
Really, do Conservatives watch Letterman? Do we deeply care what he has to say? Is he a Conservative opinion maker? Enquiring minds want to know.
Frankly, about Letterman, DILLIGAF?
Didn’t Rick Perry also appear on Letterman the day after his so-called ‘brain freeze’ and do the top ten reasons, (which were just awful, by the way,) for why he forgot his third agency? Yes, he did. Was there an article like this one about his going into the ‘spider web’? And did you post it, if there was?
See, one of the things that has stopped me from going after Perry was his guts for looking these leftards in the eye without flinching. Same with Cain.
Fair is fair. This article was unfair by a mile.
The only negative that comes from this is how the Lame Stream Media AND RINO's, spin this, not too mention HERE with the Romney-Bots and Paul-inistas who love piling on.
Speaking of Paul and Romney, WHICH OF THE 2 DO YOU SUPPORT?
Come on now, fess up!!!
I’m going to start a new drinking game—one shot for every post on this thread that is about the actual points in the article.
Bottoms up! :) And good night. (I have a feeling I’ll need another game if I wanna get anywhere with the bottle.)
Second, 0bama is very controlled and very scripted. 0bama can't handle press conferences without a teleprompter for goodness sake! And here he complains because Cain “wings it,” because his interview host controls the interview. Uh...yes Cain is the one being interviewed.
Lastly Stu Trulowe cringes at Cain's response to the difference between him and Donald Trump. The answer was obviously a tongue and cheek answer to an inane question.
It seems to me Stu Trulowe is basing his evaluation of Cain, around Cain's race. And if we let our own pundits set that was a priority they are no more helpful in the long run than the MSM.
This is extremely disappointing...
I thought Letterman was dead!
Cain probably figured he was going to smoke and joke with Letterman like Obama did a couple of weeks ago.
I haven’t watched Letterman in years, he’s a cynical old fart whose day in the sun has passed...not to mention his OWN sexual harASSment escapades.
So, how exactly did Cain get “devoured” by Letterman? Looked like he did OK.
ah, the echo chamber - one person blogs the bile, the other posts it - and viola! It’s news. Or something.
Cain over Perry any day. I’m sure that, were he to become president, Perry would not re-discover the hubris and love of power that made him try to force Gardasil and a trans-Texas corridor upon all the people, against the will of the people. I am sure that such hubris and love of power just because he and his cronies know better than the people, and stand to fatten their bank accounts to boot, has been all exorcised away now.
I’m sure. Aw shucks, he’s just Deputy Dawg with slightly worse hair and a love of Ammurrca.
We will do this again tomorrow, probably.
