Now here is where Congress can play some hardball and say”You want your 400 billion dollar Job stimulus, this pipeline can help pay for it, so we’ll pass your stimulus as long as you don’t veto it when we attach authorization to allow the pipeline project( which will allow 25000 jobs to be created in the private sector ) to begine asap. It will have a no severance clause which means if a court tries to block the pipeline part of the bill related to enviromental issues the whole bill goes kaput!

Was speaking with an engineer yesterday. His comment was one with which I find myself in full agreement. “It has become more important, to our government representatives, to fund our enemies and promote our demise than to preserve, protect, and defend our Constitution and our nation.” Then he added, “Our conversation is probably being recorded, and we are now labeled as traitors.”

Obama-—doing what he does best, destroying American opportunity.

We lose 25,000 jobs and CHEAPER energy costs,

Being cheap is a statement about quality.

Less costly is a statement about price. When PetMeds.com first started running TV ads they used to end the ads by the person exclaiming not only were the meds they offered the same but they were cheaper too. Since then, they always say they cost less.

If, and I believe the odds are highly against it, Obama is re-elected in 2012, I give our GREAT NATION 3 yrs. before we cease to exist as a nation. This man is possessed with the spirit of Anti-Christ and is ushering in the prelude to the “END OF THE AGE”

WHERE IS THE G.O.P. ??? Their silence is absolutely stunning, not just on this issue, but for the past 3 1/2 years.

I see the Chinese are ‘very’ interested in the oil from this. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2806356/posts

Perhaps the Congress ought to look into whether undue influence and promises of campaign funding went into Obama’s decision making process?

As if we don’t already have pipelines throughout the US. There is also an extensive network of natural gas pipelines.

BO probably doesn’t have a clue.

Well, I’m glad we saw it here, because we know that the MSM, Newt, the Republican establihshment and Scarborough, will be certain not to way anything about it. (I’m right about this, and Scarborough is wrong.)

Where are the Republican warriors on the right? Aren't they more afraid of what Obama and the uber left are doing to destroy this country than they are of the ankle-biting press?

Republicans are chained by public laws from doing the right thing. The press seems to have taken over the public discussion of everything.

These would be largely union jobs.

Here we have another train wreck between two dem-party constituencies-enviros and unions.

Backfire.

We will get a GOP president. He damn well better approve this and request drilling off the coasts and shale exploitation.

I think we will get a GOP Senate.

We will have the House and White House, and I am praying we have the Senate. Majority Leader DeMint works for me.

If we have all three, we damn well better get Obamacare repealed and a long litany of anti-Dem, anti-Socialist laws right down to hamstringing EPA, Education & Energy.

I fear our GOP president will be a RINO like Romney and I fear the get-along Senate who refuses to steamroll the Dems as they did to us having the Senate & House for 2 years.

We will have to be very very loud in shouting our demands at the new RINO president and the new GOP Senate majority.

Yes, I know there is no way DeMint will be majority leader. It will be a RINO.

The frontrunner of the campaign will be the one that hammers BO the most on this. Imagine if Cain said, “I’m not even President yet and I’ve helped create 400,000 jobs.”

BO needs to be held accountable today!!!!

Yes, not approving the pipeline is insanity of the first order. Even 0’s union thug allies are screaming about it. He’s very simply pandering to the eco-nut fringe.

The only problem with your article, is the total number of jobs affected are more like 200,000 - the 25,000 are direct hires, not counting the halo effect of support, supply and so on.

Then there are the beneficial effects of potentially cheaper oil, less dependence on the Middle East, and better NA oil supply for our military...
