The Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York City are preparing for the possibility of a punishing winter by erecting tents designed to withstand frigid temperatures.
Some of the military grade tents are as big as tiny cottages. They began popping up Monday, with the first planned for medics and another designated as a safe space for women....

Isn't it funny how the rules don't apply to certain people?

Amazing. Bloomberg is being made such a fool by this circus. Oh, when the next history of NYC is written!

Can’t we give Manhattan Island back to the indians?

Exactly, and they’re hoping like heck those laws will be applied to the maximum when we’re forced to defend ourselves and our families. If someone had fought back as the DC fleabaggers pushed an old lady down the stairs, you can bet they’d be in jail, and wouldn’t be out on the streets again the next day. It’s the “change they were hoping for”.

So they’re industrious enough to put up tents for the winter but they can’t find jobs or start a business?
They need to visit North Korea.

LOL! They’d get lice just trying to scalp them. That is, if they could get close enough to the stench, as you point out.

Well, even those “military tents” get pretty cold without a heater. If they opt for the military tent stoves (which burn evil fossil fuels) I’m guessing we’ll be hearing about a tent fire before the end of December. I just don’t see the OWSers as disciplined enough to pull fire guard shifts or properly maintain and service the stoves.

Even North Korea wouldn’t take them. THey’re no good as slave labor, as they’ve never worked a day in their lives, and don’t think they should have to. Useless idiots are useless eaters in North Korea.

Without heaters, the tents Will only keep out some sun. They look like they might have a thinking homeless person who will teach them the ground is cold. The wind gets in from the bottom. Air freezes on the top of the tent etc.

These folks are basically like kids who are building a fort out of chairs and blankets.

People have to be getting really tired of seeing and dealing with these people. How does any of this possibly help their cause, whatever that may be?

The distance between the inside of a tent and the outside of a tent is a layer of fabric. Even if they put in heaters or cuddle really close together, this will be a long winter for them.
Not a really smart bunch of kids we’ve got there.

What those folks need is a few 25,000 BTU Army tent heaters and some avgas. The fire going up the stove pipe would heat the whole area and provide light.
