Survival guides, check lists, things to get at the store. It seems like everyone has a checklist, for your 72 hour kit for your car for your food. But all these checklists are all over the internet. I wanted to create a concise list in one place, for a long time I have been reading everyone elses lists and, With all this information I have compiled a master list..
I used my own lists + lists from other websites..
I am going to present this list a little different than most lists..
With a multimedia experience. When are thinking about our emergency supplies for the first time, often we look at our camping supplies as a place to start, emergencies may force us to leave our homes or to live with out modern convinces for a long duration of time. It makes sense that we start with our camping gear. What will make your emergency list different from your camping list will be decided by what kind of emergencies or events you are preparing for and how those events will affect you in their duration. Also I think that my perspective on emergency preparedness is very much more about long term sustainability then it is just dealing with the short term event. So many of my long term preparations would really be considered homesteading and my short term skills may be more considered bushcraft When you make you plan there are some really important things to think about..

Preppers Ping!
We are on the edge. Everyday there is a new story about the Yutes who grow more restless everyday and when you add the fact that because of the economy people are already on edge it wont take much to set things off.
Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Siege of AR-558 (#7.8) (1998)
Quark: Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, Nephew. Theyre a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You dont believe me? Look at those faces. Look in their eyes.
Today we have yutes who roam our streets who are with out morals, without respect for law or life itself. They will look are you with the same doll eyes a shark does before he eats you and they will feel no more compassion than the shark does.
That will be the test of many. Most preppers I know are Christian people and they will hesitate to do what they might have to do to stop the yutes. On the other hand the yutes wont think twice nor lose a minute of sleep, in fact they will smile and laugh about it.
For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

For those of you who havent started already its time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

There is no greater disaster than to underestimate danger. Underestimation can be fatal.
As the LDS say When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.
Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3
Check. Ok, I'm done...
Thanks, Kartographer.
All the preppers have gone to the earthquake post:)
In the pantry video.... does anyone know where can I get the can racks that hold the can horizontally and you pull one out from the bottom and the rest roll down. I think these are good for assuring rotation of the canned food, but I can’t find the racks anywhere. I made my own, but they aren’t that great.
We are on the edge.
We are a day closer to “something” than we were yesterday
(and every day we don’t do something to get ready is a day we can’t get back)
Google might help.
I tried that as well as some other shopping sites. Didn’t find what I was looking for. I want some that are either adjustable for different size cans or else they come in different sizes. I don’t want just soup can size or coke can size. I want metal ones also.
Good luck.
I think they are sold to commercial stores. I will keep looking until I find them or someone who can custom make them. The ones I made are OK, but the cans sometimes jam up if one gets crooked in the rack because the can is dented.
Look under “Canned food storage racks”. Quite a lot of info. Best wishes.
