Glenn Beck: NYT runs one of the most “bigoted” “anti-religon” articles EVER
glennbeck.com ^ | Oct 20, 2011 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 10/23/2011 4:28:28 PM PDT by Ripliancum

“If this was written about Jews she’d be fired today. If it was written about Catholics she’d be in trouble today. Because it’s written about the Mormons it can be said,” Glenn said.

I want you to know I am a Mormon. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and you may not like my theology. That’s okay,” Glenn said.

“I’m not asking you to join my church. I’m not asking you to join theologies or anything like that. It’s important that we keep our theologies separate and distinct. It’s important that you know what you believe in, and I know what I believe in. And we need to stand arm in arm.”

“Look, the wolves are coming for people of faith and they are coming for the weakest among and they will take down the ones that are weakest that have the least amount of protection it will be the Mormons, and Jews, and then who’s next. It will be all of us.”

As always you make claims and never back them up.
I’ll make it easy for you and everyone else I am going to copy my homepage so people can determine if I am hate filled or you are just nuts.
My home page: Game find the hate that ozzy accuses me of:

Right (I mean correct) , Christian (I mean born again), and involved in my community.

I have been with the same fellow since July 1972.

One fantastic daughter.

One smart and beautiful granddaughter, five grandsons, (two who are dwelling in the arms of Jesus, and three that are as the saying goes full of “piss and vinegar”).

I have a place in the high desert of CA were it is either stinking hot and windy, or freezing cold and windy.

But, now living in Santa Barbara..........sweet!!!!

Yes, I am Italian (and some other stuff but its the Italian thats important).

And as we all know, if you are lucky enough to be Italian you are lucky enough.

Ok, and I received a double BA in college PoliSci and Industrial Psychology, then received an MBA a decade or so later. My work history beyond child rearing and being active active active and more in the community, retail operation management after a decade of electronic drafting.

I lived the 60’s, I think not sure.

What islamic fascist hope to accomplish.

Stage 1: Start immigrating - move into a country quietly

Stage 2: Begin starting churches: “learning centers” community helps: food etc.

Stage 3: Political activism: demanding rights, denounce derogatory comments/press etc.

Stage 4: Get elected, pass laws favoring rights etc. move toward political majority

Stage 5: Political control, Sharia Law

"Now that I think of it, there is an industry in place whose only purpose is to attempt to tear down and discredit The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Big business. Raking it in hand over fist."

Can you provide documentation of the "raking it in big" and "Big business" and "hand over fist".

The only group I see raking it in big, and making bucks hand over fist is the Mormon Corporation, that owns luxury hotels in Hawaii and luxury shopping malls, etc.

In contrast, some small non-profits who reveal the truth the mormon PR machine and their PR agencies don't want anyone to know is peanuts.

Do you have some real evidence or facts to back up your assertion? ampu

Well, apparently the common colloquialism “piss and vinegar” which can trace its roots back to 1602 (Return from Parnassas), is considered bad enough to cause ones head to explode. Oh, well.

Good heavens, no, I'm not a Mormon. I'm sorry Saundra, but the Mormon mythology of Semites living in pre-Columbus America, of J Smith stuffing his head in a hat to read some gold plates and even being able to run with them (mighty heavy stuff, gold) and then the entire fake "Reformed Egyptian", "Book of Abraham" (now that IS funny -- passing off the Egyptian book of the Dead as Abraham's!) etc just makes Mormon stuff sillier than Scientology and provably false by proof without even having to point out the gaping holes in philosophy

However, Scoutmaster, I do think that Beck is correct that the NYTimes as a news rag shouldn't be running something like the Dowd column.

1 Kings 16:11

King James Bible

And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha:
he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.

I do think that Beck is correct that the NYTimes as a news rag shouldn't be running something like the Dowd column.

Except that Beck wants religion to return to a more public activity. That would have to include want he does not like; else be considered a bit of censorship; albeit self-imposed.

I respect your opinion, Cronos. Dowd's column was posted on Free Republic last week.

Beck knows better than to conflate Dowd as a columnist with a regular news reporter. And, by his standards, one couldn’t speak out on Islam either.

I think I’ll take MoDo’s mockery here over a stifling of commentary on religious doctrine.

I respect yours too — you’ve put your point across calmly and coolly and I think even our Mormon friends should acknowledge that.
