I use the word "survivalist" in the most all-encompassing way, meaning that anyone who wants to/plans to survive a fairly good sized disaster falls into this category. As a survivalist, you need these ten things if you want to have a chance of coming out the other side of a disaster in a rather whole manner.

That's good. Either you are the biggest, baddest hombre around, or you don't live where Obama's people can get to you.
Either way avoids trouble.
But only one gives you any training to deal with the issue.

I've dealt with intimidation from bad actors in the city and in the wilderness just not in the last three years per your criterion. In each case I had the confidence of being armed and without showing them that I was, or even talking tough, convinced them to find somewhere else to be.
Oh, stop whining.

OK looks like I’ve been ‘Blog Pimping’ again.
My thought on posting this was to stimulate a conversation about Preparing and Preparedness Basics, not start some flame war.
I do not agree with everything that in the article, if fact anyone who has taken the time to look through my preparedness manual knows that I do layout preparedness according to the ‘Rule of Three’.
In fact in this instance I forwarded the 10 Things That Every Survivalist Need list via FReep Mail to several FReepers who didn’t want to actually go to the blog, JRandomFreeper was among those that I preformed that courtesy for.
I have no interest in anyone’s blog NONE. I am even careful about not posting things from fellow FReeper ChocChipCookies (Survival Mom) site to avoid any chance of seeming to promote any particular blogs.
Maybe its time I past on the Preppers Ping list to someone else as many of you know I took it on when I start offering my Preparedness Manual (Blog free!) to any that wanted to down load it, but it seems that I have become a poor ‘sheppard’ of the list maybe someone like JRandomFreeper needs to step forward and take it over.
I leave it up to you.
So if the TV and DVD player are out you are up the creek.
Some of us have seen those and are interested in other ideas. We pretty much have it down that we need air.
Your criticism is uncalled for. If you don't want to read one of these threads don't click on them.
Many others are smart enough to carry a lighter.
There are many positives about the 22 and I think they are underrated. First they cheap, quiet, lightweight, good for small game and an option for self defense.
You can get 500 rounds for $20. So when you’ve used up all your 9mm or .45 the .22 will still be going.
Sure they don’t have the stopping power of larger calibers or the range but they are still useful. Do you know anyone who wants to be shot with a .22?
humble, if this our dog-team (I didn't check) let's call 'em off. This guy is okeefine. :)
Negative, not our personnel. Appears to be a rogue operation.
Don’t mind HG... for some reason, he’s arrogated to himself the role of “blog pimp police”, and his “bloggar” is set to a hair trigger.
The Prepper Ping list is yours, and it wouldn’t be the same without you. And thanks for the free Prep Manual.

This is the radio script. It is a good short story, but very depressing.
Food. 3 weeks without it.
Hope. 3 months without it.
Good list - for 'hope' - matches for fire, Bible for comfort, family for love, blankets for security, and coffee to start the next day...
