What's the opposite of damning with faint praise? Business Week tells us all the good to make Perry look bad.

What can I say, with Perry failing, there will still be Romney still standing. We can fight over Herman, the two Ricks, Michelle etc, but there is still Mittens.

As I said in my blog I posted a couple of weeks back, Perry needs to learn to dance.
We saw it again Tuesday night. Perry was soporific . . . bordering on comatose. Sure, he did much better than in his prior appearances--he had the facts at his disposal if his repetoire was somewhat limited to "the energy sector," but, for example, when Romney made that crack about Massachusetts having fewer uninsured children than Texas, Perry not only should have had a ready response to that assertion, but should have insisted on being given the opportunity to respond since it was an attack. Instead, he began to interrupt Romney and when corrected, fell back into his lassitude.
He may already be toast, he may have already become so firmly fixed in the voters' minds as an inarticulate bumbler that he can't recover, but if not he only has about two more appearances before rehabilitation of his candidacy becomes impossible.
Perry has a tremendous record of accomplishment--or at least Texas under his stewardship does--but if he is unable to articulate it in these debates, then his goose is cooked.

Tourettes or obsession?
The Governor speaks at one national convention when these people met in our state and you repeat your nickname over and over.

I think Rick Perry “took a dive” with his statements supporting and educating illegal immigrants, as well as Perry telling us there will be no “wall” if Perry is elected.

You love the idea of a small child playing with a handgun?? I support the right to bear arms but small children don’t need to be playing with pistols? That is just plain dumb! Yes, training your child and going hunting with him is one thing. This? This is a terrible pic!

He’s going to grow (in a good way) on the electorate.
He’s a winner — like Reagan.

The fix it in? Last night, I'm driving back from running the dogs, scanning the radio dial, when I land on Hugh Hewitt pontificating on why Romney is the chosen one, Perry is second and Cain doesn't have a chance.
He thinks Romney and Perry are First and Second for the same reasons all the others, including Palin and Christie, have dropped out or will drop out: Money and Organization, but mostly, it's all about the money.
To him, Romney is the anointed next president and no matter who challenges or how well they do, they are merely aiding the inevitable: the republican nominee is Mitt Romney.
He believes that only Perry has the money to beat him. For now, but Perry is a fallen star and soon his money will dry up, too.
By Nov. 2012, none of this will matter. It'll be Mitt and obama and we'll all suck it up and vote for Mitt so obama loses.
Same old story. I hope he's wrong.
