After watching the last two debates and watching his recent interview on The View, I've come to realize who I want to represent me as the candidate for the Republican nomination. While his chances are a bit shot due to the establishments choice Mitt Romney, I think Herman Cain has a lot to offer to the American people. I believe that Cain's experience as a businessman, his stance on social issues, and his 9-9-9 plan make him a formidable and truly Conservative candidate. Not to mention, this guy is incredibly humorous and let's face it, we are in dire need of a relaxed, levelheaded, comical president (Who actually does something).
Cain's extensive experience as a businessman would be crucial to reviving the American economy. As a man who has worked as CEO of Godfathers Pizza and been Vice President of capitalist colossals such as Pillsbury and Burger King, this man knows how to run a business or two. Now, I know what Romney supporters would be rebutting with; Romney is a businessman too! That is true, but Romney hasnt come close to working with companies Americans are familiar with, or anything truly capitalistic. With the Obama administrations lack of business experience within high-ranking positions, this fact will prove to be incredibly imperative in the next election.
Herman Cain is easily relatable to the average American, not only because of his extensive business resume, but also because he has never held a public office. He also claims that he has no national name ID or kajillion dollars like every other candidate has. This works incredibly well in the favor of Cain, as most Americans are sick and tired of politicians receiving the nomination, winning, and turning everything into one big giant mess. As we have clearly seen in the past three years, holding a public office gives you little to no true experience in running a country.
Now, here is where Conservatives would shriek in delight and the average American independent would be turned away in disgust. Cain is a remarkably strong Conservative in his stance on social issues. Cain is an avid decrier of the repeal of the Dont Ask, Dont tell law and of gay marriage as a whole. Since the favorability of gay marriage has skyrocketed in the past few years, this would prove to be an obstacle to any Conservative candidate. Wed also have to include Cains stance on abortion, as he is completely against it, even in rape circumstances. These opinions on social issues are great within the Conservative fan base, but would hurt Cain at the national level. While these opinions prove to be a challenge, Cain explained during his interview on The View that he would stay true to the constitution in his role as president and would rule with his social issues put aside. I hope for the best in this section of his campaign.
Finally, the ever controversial 9-9-9 tax. Now, before I even begin to speak about this, let me throw a disclaimer in; I havent dissected every single detail of this plan and nor am I anywhere near an expert on taxes. From what I understand, I believe this plan truly has a chance. A nine percent tax on corporate income, a nine percent tax on personal income and a nine percent national sales tax may make Conservatives boo and hiss, but lets be real here, how else are we going to get this country back on track? Our current tax code is in dire need of remodeling and drastic measures have to be taken to get America out of this black hole weve been sucked into. And hey, Id think Cain might know what he is talking about considering all the business experiences hes had.
Oh, and before I wrap this up, let me throw in a bit of food for thought for you all. As we have repeatedly heard from the left for decades, Conservatives are nothing but racist, cruel people. If we were to elect Cain as our nominee, any kind of racism nonsense would be completely thrown aside. An Obama vs. Cain election would be strictly policy, no favoring of the black president. We are in urgent need of this, considering virtually every black vote went to Obama in the last election simply because of his racial background.
These points are why Im most likely going to be throwing my support to Herman Cain as the 2012 Republican nominee. What are your thoughts?
These are nice opinions, but where are the facts?
Cain seems to be the popular kid at school today. Everybody loves him, but nobody seems to know who he is or why they like him.
no offense, but many people disagree with you.
herman cain has a demonstrated record of achievement
due to his intelligence, hard work, belief in free markets, and God.
Cain has laid out a solidly Conservative Presidential agenda. Perry meanwhile tells us "I'm a great guy from Texas, vote for me". Conservative Cain has laid out his plans for everyone to see. Where are Perry's plans?

That would be wrong. I’ve followed Herman Cain for years.
The guy has done radio for years so I know where the man stands. He’s done a lot on Christain radio programs too.
This notion, being advanced on behalf of the other candidates, that we need to elect yet another professional politician in 2012 is nonsense.
Sending a professional politician to DC in 2012 is the equivalent of hiring yet another drug addict to manage your bankrupt pharmacy business
We (I) have a lot clearer picture of who Cain is than anyone did about the current POTUS. It’s obvious that the current administration having almost exclusively government experience hasn’t done anything to help the economy so I think we should reset the table. Let’s put in people with knowledge of private industry and free enterprise. How could it be any worse?
In other words, is Cain the sparkly object meant to distract us into allowing Romney to take the nomination with a consistent 30% of the RINO "let's just elect somebody the establishment thinks can win" vote in the early primaries? I believe this is how we got such other great candidates as Bob Dole and John McCain.
He's a proven leader and CEO. That's the requirement of a President.
I like him because he's an achiever who has fought the good fight in the arena of politics for years upon years.
Check out this video of him taking apart Bill Clinton during the Hillarycare debate. He was instrumental in bringing it down.
What makes you think Cain is a conservative?
Is it because he supported a states' right to secession?
Is it because he supports a National Sales Tax in addition to the Federal Income Tax?
Is it because he has vowed to nominate Pro-Life justices to the Supreme Court?
Is it because he has a personal concealed-carry license and is supportive of the 2nd Amendment?
Has he even shot a firearm in his life?
What has Cain done other than give glorious speeches like the TOTUS?
He supports eliminating the 15% payroll tax, capital gains tax, death tax etc.
The problem is that I do not see any 'facts' here. What I see:
1) (A)n avid decrier ... of gay marriage..., but nothing to say what he will do to prevent it from being declared a national right as abortion was.
2) Cains stance on abortion, as he is completely against it, but he doesn't say what he would do to change it.
In fact, I now see that the opposite is true. From your own words:
Cain explained during his interview on The View that he would stay true to the constitution in his role as president and would rule with his social issues put aside.
No wonder he seems to like Mitt. Both are wishy-washy RINOs.
So we’re supposed to trust his own PR? Just because he said it was so?
Have we learned nothing from The Won?
What many people overlook regarding his 9-9-9 plan - it’s a BIG WIN for the self-employed. Those who create most of the new jobs - small businesses, self-employed people.
Right now, they pay 15.3% for SS/FICA. And then they pay income tax on top of that - most pay at least 15% income tax. Meaning the prime driver of new net jobs (about 90% of all new net jobs), small businesses and entrepreneurial startups, will have a lower net tax rate.
This is a BIG WIN for our economy.
“They all love Perry, yet not one of them has any idea of what his agenda would be.”
Perry has offered subsidized college tuition for illegals and that’s about it. His plan consists of adding millions of Mexicans to the labor workforce to drive down wages and increase business productivity. Border fences and e-verify are obviously not part of the agenda.
Has Cain explained why he would not consider the VP slot for Perry? Is it because of the rock with the racial slur that had been painted over by Gov Perry 20 years ago?
That’s not his “own” PR...just a compilation from numerous sources.
Do your own research, watch the video on CSPAN from the Value Voter speech yesterday...
Whatever...you obviously don’t like him because he’s from Georgia.
Are you sure?
What can't the 9-9-9 plan become a 16-16-16 plan within 5 years?
The Income Tax was instituted in 1913 with a top rate of 7.8%; by 1918, the top rate was already 77%.
Be careful what you wish for.
I know this is going to blow you welded shut mind, but the 10th Amendment is not a suggestion. Having a President who is willing to ignore the Constitution to impose a Social Conservative agenda is not much better then one who ignores it for the Left.
Glad you love your candidate of choice, lying about the others will not help your candidate.
