If you make a bunch of public statements on your website promoting war against the United States (or Jihad against the great Satan, or anything that means war against the United States), you are no longer a criminal, you are an enemy combatant. Really? Now that is an interesting comment. Samir Kahn did those very things from the basement in his parents home in Charlotte, NC. We didn't do a darn thing about him.
Muslim Extremist's Web Site Stirs Mixed Emotions in Charlotte, N.C.
One of Khans neighbors, Ron Williams, also defended Khans right to free speech.

Move to Dearborn and try to preach on a street corner. You won’t have to wait long.

I didn’t remember that, thanks for the reminder. Now Paul can denounce Israel, too.

I am not a Ron Paul fan, or anything Ron Paul, but he has a point. Ron Paul has NO point. Awalki was a confirmed traitor to his own country, and was an acknowledged senior operator within the enemy camp.
As such, he forfeited any right to special treatment or consideration by US forces engaged in killing our enemies.

... But I think I would be much more comfortable with oversight from Congress. Or try him in absentia and declare him an enemy combatant who is operational. Some kind of check on this power is logical and desirable I think. Well said.

What is to stop them from killing us?In my case, I like to think it's my Bushmaster AR15, Glock 19, and tight target groupings.

"The distinction should always be made that Awlaki was not just fighting the government of the U.S., he wanted to kill Americans, and destroy the country and its treasured institutions. When any American makes war against this country his or her citizenship could not matter less."And what exactly do you think TOTUS is doing?

Not overtly. No.
We all know who this chump is, and what he is up to, but he has made no open declarations that he is against America.

It probably is unconstitutional but out of the mind numbing number of unconstitutional/impeachable acts Barry has committed this is the one I am fairly OK with.

If the thug were a citizen maybe, I do not beleive he was.
“In order to lose his citizenship, it must be shown that the U.S. citizen joined the foreign military or swore allegiance to another state “with the intention of relinquishing United States nationality”.
Awlaki said: “With the American invasion of Iraq and continued U.S. aggression against Muslims, I could not reconcile between living in the U.S. and being a Muslim, and I eventually came to the conclusion that jihad against America is binding upon myself just as it is binding on every other Muslim,”

Remember, they declared the Tea Party terrorists. What is to stop them from killing us? Exactly!
What was to stop them was PROCESS ...... until now.
Now there's nothing.
And we need not worry overmuch about SEAL Team 6 or HellFire missiles, a simple County Sherriff who voted Obama will be enough to imprison you or me indefinitely.
After all, them Gulags ain't gonna fill themselves. And once we're in one, we may not be able to legitimately claim silly PROCESS violations ..... but at least we'll be comforted by the fact that Awlaki is dead, Yay!

"We all know who this chump is, and what he is up to, but he has made no open declarations that he is against America."He doesn't need to openly state "I hate America and am trying to do everything in my power to destroy it"
One just needs to look at his record and follow the money.

MY main point is that Al Awalaki was openly working against the US and calling for the death of its citizens.
Therefore I feel no squeamishness that he has been reduced to worm dirt by the USA with no trial.
