Gingrich one of the original architects of the 1994 Contract with America said his new 21st Century Contract with America will be revealed on Sep. 29 and will be very visionary and very big. He called it exactly what Abraham Lincoln would have campaigned on.

You could throw Cain into those combos and I’d be good with them...
Even though he has no prayer of winning the nomination, having him as a candidate is a good thing. Our eventual nominee needs to run on something other than "I'm not Obama".
Newt's plan should be interesting at the very least, and should help our party frame the terms of the debate for the next election.
I am curious for their example as well. From what I remember Newt and those guys pretty much did everything that was humanly possible. Some of it was undermined in the Senate.
Newt makes a challenge because he knows that he can Whip the O’s rear end...and he can.
So sad that his past will kill him.
Let him do all the damage he can to Obama but as far as voting for him when other options are available...
Newt-Nancy-Couch-Global Warming.
Nuff said.
Newt’s a Third Wayer no thanks
In an election for President between Obama and Newt—how many on the FR would pull the handle for Obama because they didn’t like the coach commercial Newt made with Nancy P?
If it was a choice between Newt and Obama, which would ANY of you vote for-?!?
I believe the problem is lack of effectiveness, not that he didn’t technically meet the terms of the original CwA.
The House alone could have forced much more of it through as actual legislation, had Gingrich not capitulated at the Moment of Truth.
You are right. Newt played a major role in the conservative revolution and became a big target for the msm and left. He is a brilliant man...he did not stumble or stammer during the debates when the panels dared to question him. I believe they are afraid of him and he is smarter than Wolf Blitzer or Chris Wallace.
I like Newt. I pray I will see him debate Obama one on one. It will be an ass kicking of the century. He has his past mistakes, but he is an extremely capable and talented leader that our country sorely misses.
Newt got almost all of the Contract passed through the House.
That is all the Speaker of the House can do.
Let him do it and cheer him on...why?
Because he may not win, but just like Bachman, Cain, and others, he forces folks to address critical items and not ignore them. If the contract has awesome stuff in it, it may force the hand of the leaders to address how THEY stand on such issues or even pick up the torch when Newt has dropped out. It’s a win for the US in my book either way.
I’d like to see him be the guy that asks the questions at the first “debate” (I use the term loosely here) that The Messiah participates in.
***Newt got almost all of the Contract passed through the House. That is all the Speaker of the House can do.***
Boehner knows what you mean;)
Clinton benefited from Newt’s Contract with America and took credit for the improved economy and optimism.
I agree with you. He is smarter than any two of the other candidates. I’ll go you one better. He’s the BEST candidate out there. It would be like voting for King David AFTER the Bathsheba incident came to light.
I have always thought that Newt is an incredible "behind-the-scenes" organizer and strategist, in this role he is one of the best ever.
The problem with Newt is that when he's in public he comes across as very abrasive and can't seem to get things done.
He was able to convince America to get behind the Contract, but when it came to specific and critical events (like the government shutdown) he lost the public's confidence.
I think Newt would make a good VP or chief of staff as long as he realized that he was their to push the president's agenda and not his own (e.g. global warming).
That raises a good point. Here's another.
Matthew 6:15
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
