White House Pressure for a Donor? [Talk about crony capitalism!]

The Pentagon has worried for months that a project backed by a prominent Democratic donor might interfere with military GPS. Now Congress wants to know if the White House pressured a general to change his testimony.
The four-star Air Force general who oversees U.S. Space Command walked into a highly secured room on Capitol Hill a week ago to give a classified briefing to lawmakers and staff, and dropped a surprise. Pressed by members, Gen. William Shelton said the White House tried to pressure him to change his testimony to make it more favorable to a company tied to a large Democratic donor.
The episodeconfirmed by The Daily Beast in interviews with administration officials and the chairman of a congressional oversight committeeis the latest in a string of incidents that have given Republicans sudden fodder for questions about whether the Obama administration is politically interfering in routine government matters that affect donors or fundraisers. Already, the FBI and a House committee are investigating a federal loan guarantee to a now failed solar firm called Solyndra that is tied to a large Obama fundraiser.

Rahm was smart to get out when he did. He can handle Chicago corruption, but WH corruption is out of his league.

Nixon and Clinton were impeached for far less offenses Nixon wasn't impeached.

I wonder if General Shelton is shortly going to find himself either retired or reassigned to studying dust motes in a windowless Pentagon office?

Yes he was, in Congress just like Clinton. Neither was convicted by the Senate.

With all the extra-Constitutional things this boy king has done, why have articles of Impeachment not yet been brought up? GWB committed far less High Crimes and Misdemeanors that this Obozo and he had articles of impeachment brought up (by at least Kookcinich).

I think that it would be safe to assume that pretty much everything the Rats are involved with is corrupt.

This is worse than Solyndra.
This administration is so corrupt, I can’t even keep up.

The House Judiciary Committee handed down 3 articles of impeachment on July 30, 1974. Nixon chose to resign rather than fight the charges, thereby saving the country from the ordeal of impeachment.

The Left would love to have the spectacle of Republicans impeaching Obama.
It’s better to let them twist in the wind and let the voters sweep in conservatives at every level of government next year.

No, he was not.

Nope, Richard Nixon was not impeached.
Impeachment proceedings were in progress, but he resigned before the vote to impeach took place.
King William is the only elected president ever to be impeached.

I've work in telecom and have been LIVID about this for months ...
Not many people know this, but the telephone company Central Offices are all timed to sync with each other using GPS timing signals ...
LightSquared could potentially screw this up ...

Nixon chose to resign rather than fight the charges, thereby saving the country from the ordeal of impeachment.Nixon resigned because top Republicans asked him to resign. The Dems do not have such ethical standards.
