Michelle Obama Accused of Being $10 Million 'Vacation Junkie'
Gather ^ | August 24, 2011 | Tom Rose

Is Michelle Obama a modern-day Mary Lincoln? Anonymous (so far) White House sources are saying it's a fair comparison as the First Lady does to President Obama what Mary Todd did to her husband by spending taxpayer money on luxuries like it was drying up forever. Which is possible...

In the last year alone Michelle Obama is accused of spending more than $10 million on vacations and expensive accommodations, all on the public dime. The report, broken by the National Enquirer, is light on the sources, but heavy on the details. The picture painted seems to go way beyond what can be expected for the normal expenses incurred protecting the First Lady and her family.

One key complaint centers on the secrecy over Mrs. Obama's staff listing. Who are they and how many are there? So far, there's never been an official public disclosure.

But the main dispute stems from the fact that Michelle Obama has already spent more than 6 weeks away from her public duties.

Most of that time was eaten up by separate travel from her husband, on military aircraft, and staying at the most expensive and luxurious hotels. All the while running up sky-high bills for top-shelf alcohol, food and personal luxury perks.

The Obamas, of course, are entitled to vacations and having a good time, together as a family. But shouldn't they be held accountable for gouging the taxpayer? Can't they pay for the perks out of their own pocket? Especially at a time like this?

President Obama will have a hard enough time getting re-elected next year. His wife, like that of his self-professed hero and role model, Abraham Lincoln, shouldn't be making it harder for him.

Maybe even impossible?

Would these not be considered gifts from the taxpayers?

And if so, would they not be taxable?

I'm sure the IRS will be right on it.

Not only that, but she is CONSTANTLY throwing it in the faces of kids that she tells to eat right - when she's ALWAYS scarfing down burgers at Shake Shack to the tune of 1700 calories ...

Not pictured: Milk shake and soda ...

To be fair - it WAS a Diet soda ...

I remember when the Clintons left the white house the staff took the W's off the computer keyboards. The Clintons took some plate ware and lamps to help furnish there new house in New York. It all seems mild today. I wonder what the Obama’s are going to take when they leave?

"So I'm working six days a week just to keep food on the table and pay the rent and this is where a huge chunk of my paycheck goes?"

Think how many people without jobs, losing homes and filing for bankruptcy will vote for these people once again as the media sells them on more hope and change.

If even half of the Michelle stories are true it is almost enough to make me feel sorry for Obama. Almost.

This administration is such a trainwreck. Hope and change has turned into misery and despair. The new motto “WTF” describes this administration perfectly. Even the President’s base that vaulted him to such an unlikely victory are starting to question the lavish lifestyle.

Accountability is here at last.

$350,000 per year as a Diversity Outreach Consultant at the University of Chicago AFTER The Messiah was elected a State Senator.

Her role was so important that it was not filled after she left to go to D.C.

Useless POS

Grifters pure and simple. They just managed to dupe 10’s of millions of people.

“So far, there’s never been an official public disclosure.”

That is completely unacceptable. Unless you are a deep cover CIA agent we need to know the name and title and salary of every single person on the public payroll.

I do like that Geico ad with Mary asking Abe about her hoop skirt “does this make me look fat”? LOL! It’s so good how they do the old movie look, it makes you think there must be films of them around, which of course, there aren’t.

As Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin turned down a mandated pay raise.

Meanwhile, these grifters are spending tax-dollars faster than they can print it.

FUBO and that fat-ass wife of yours.

I think I understand this.

If you start your own company, WORK HARD and EARN millions of dollars (which you then use to pay employees) you are “rich and greedy.”

But if you stick your grubby mitts into the public till and take $10 mill of other people’s money, to spend on yourself, that is NOT greedy.

Got it.
