Requires a lotta chutzpah for Cohen to make that claim given the current occupant of the position.

Meanwhile, Obama has none of the requisite experience, intellect, or temperament to run a successful small business.

The idea of a staff writer for the Washington Post setting himself up to judge of the intellectual qualifications of others, is surely the stuff for good satire.

Just remember the liberal media template:

All Republicans (other than sell-outs like McCain) are either evil or stupid. If you rise to the level of Reagan or Bush, they label you as both.

Right now the libs are just trying to figure out which label looks more believable on Perry. Nothing to see here.

From a guy that no doubt voted for the intellectual Obama, that’s really rich.

Since the Left first set about to hijack control of our educational establishments and to intentionally substitute ideology for knowledge, they have claimed a monopoly on intellectualism.

Such claims are a product of both deception and conceit. No conservative politician, or indeed, any conservative intellectual will ever meet the Left's standard for wisdom, which consists entirely of agreeing with them.

Perry is many things, but stupid is not one of them.

If Perry is the nominee, the left will have a GREAT time with Perry's Texas A&M grades.

All they have to do is dust off the old Bush is a partying frat boy president material, replace 'Bush' with 'Perry' and let the fun begin.

My guess is that Algore may have had a better GPA and college record than Perry and that would be saying something.

Tactic number one in the Democrat playbook:

The Democrat is a brainiac.
The Republican is stupid.

Variant number one:
The Democrat has “gravitas”.
The Republican lacks “gravitas”.

See, that’s always been my problem with people on this side using that criticism against Palin. I don’t agree with Cohen that Perry (or pretty much anybody in the field, absolutely including Palin) is intellectually unqualified to be president. But neither do I look at most of them and see prodigiously towering intellects...or at least, they’re not flaunting them. Certainly not the guys at the top of the polls. I don’t know how you draw the line between the intellectually qualified and unqualified that leaves them on the “qualified” side and Palin on the other. I really don’t.

“Intellectually Unqualified”

####

Oh, let’s cut to the chase, Cohen.

In other words, too Christian and to a lesser extent, too conservative, to actually be “smart”.

Right Dick?.....weed.

I believe Dickie might have a point about Perry. I am confident that Obama can name the 57 states and Perry would fall shy of that total.

Guess I’ll take the stupid conservative over the brilliant liberal any day. I’m speachless when considering all the brilliant accomplishments of BO’s term in office.

Back in the 1950s, the liberal cabal claimed that Eisenhower was a dummy and that Stevenson was a mental giant. Ike crushed Sevenson in two elections.

In the 1980s, the left said that Reagan was a dolt. He subsequently went on to destroy Carter, and then, Mondale.

GW Bush, according to the libs, was a mental lightweight compared to Algore and Kerry. Bush defeated both of them.

Now, Rick Perry is the “dumb hich” candidate, according to the libs. There’s no way can he beat the “genius” Obama. Right?

Rush and Ann Coulter have been saying this for years.

The #1 play in the liberal playbook is "Republicans are dumb."
