Think "propane" and probably the first thing to come to mind would be Hank Hill of "King of the Hill." Lately, however, when I have been thinking of propane, the word "expensive" comes to mind.
I used to get a tank of propane for a mere $10 per tank at the City of Sunrise. Years ago that town had a fleet of vehicles that ran on propane (and what happened those vehicles?) but as that fleet was drawn down they still had a big propane station. So what they did was offer really cheap propane to the public. I used to love it. Just pull up to the propane station, hand them 10 bucks, and fill up my tank. So imagine my distress last May when I pulled up to the Sunrise propane station only to be hit with a notice that the service would NO LONGER be available. Talk about depressing...especially when I went to a regular propane station and shelled out 20 bucks.

PING!
I thought Groupon only offered up short term deals on a local basis ...what’s cheap today in Houston may not be in Denver - or tomorrow in Houston, for that matter. (?)
p.s. One of their greatest Groupon offers was available EVERYWHERE...$7 to buy a $15 eBay gift card. My finger got sprained from quickly clicking on that deal.
4?
“My finger got sprained from quickly clicking on that deal”.
LOL.
LOL, I was thinking “propane and propane accessories” before I saw the pic you chose.
Just heard about Groupon today from lil Sis.
For several months I’ve been thinking about converting my truck to propane. It sells for $2.16 here while gas today was @ $3.68.
Thanks for the post and the ping. Good to see you, again.
You’re welcome.
I converted one of my cars to natural gas but I couldn’t find a long enough gas line to get to where I wanted to go.
If you are a member of ebates.com, you will also get a 3% rebate on any groupon purchases.
But since it cost me ZERO wouldn’t they rebate me that same amount?
You’ll lose some mileage, but at that price differential, you’re all good.
Every groupon purchase is eligible for a rebate, and around a couple a hundred other online stores.
Okay. BTW, my wife and I are in the process of developing a new corn based food treat but it takes a lot of experimentation and testing. All the ingredients are being purchased for little or nothing via coupons. Hope to have the task completed next month. The main thing now is to get the proper texture.
