(Exclusive to FR): Speaker Boehner's comments on the Raising the Debt Ceiling

"We, the Senate Majority Leader, The President, and myself, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, have had a further meeting today and are agreed in recognizing that the question of the debt ceiling and possible default is of the first importance for both houses of Congress, the President, and for our country.

"We regard the Bill passed by the House and the companion Bill in the Senate and the President's promise to sign the reconciled bill as symbolic of the desire of both Parties never to put politics above country again.

"We are resolved that the method of consultation shall be the method adopted to deal with any other questions that may concern our two parties, and we are determined to continue our efforts to remove possible sources of difference, and thus to contribute to assure the full faith and credit of the United States government."

Boehner read this statement to a cheering crowd in front of the Capitol Building and said;

"My good friends this is the second time in our history that we have drawn back from the brink of such a crisis, bringing to Washington fiscal responsibility with honor. I believe it is solvency in our time."

Piss off, Boehner. Stop with the posturing; you, Reid and 0bama all got what you want.

You could`ve stood pat on CCB, yet you folded like a cheap suit. You`re all talk and no results. So enjoy your “victory” and do your victory dances.

But reality is you surrendered.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
