Gun owner registration bans on semi-automatic firearms adoption of a UN gun control treaty -- all of these issues could very well be decided over the next 24 hours.
Both houses of Congress will be voting on a debt ceiling bill that establishes a legislative committee with TREMENDOUS powers. Fox News is calling this committee a SUPER CONGRESS, because its legislative proposals (which could include gun control provisions) CANNOT be filibustered or amended in the Senate or House.

When that day comes, they’ll be lines forming outside of all gun stores...
FUUN!!!
This is nonsense. Any recommendations made by any committee would have to be voted on.
I think they are calling this a win for the Tea Party just like they did for Boehner when he was able to extend the Bush tax cuts, and next year will blame the bad economy on Bush, Boehner and the Tea Party.
Looks like it is all too late. We let them rob us of our freedom.
Total nonsense. The “Super Congress” has no such ability

Oh, here we go, exposition #1 and #2: grandstanding and extreme weakness in proportion.
When the people will be weak and they decide it was not such a good idea, because they will be weak, it will be too late.
The genocide of the worthy type, this wheel of selecting the weak over the strong, started at the French Revolution’s guillotine, by the way.
Super Czars!
Did you read the rest of the article? Yes, it would be voted on, but the senate could not filibuster and the speaker could not stop the issue from coming up for a vote. It would make it far easier for gun control measures to be passed.
So, in essence they are trying to create another chamber within the Congress. I think this would take an amendment to the Constitution if I am thinking correctly.
What happens when Americans are not paying attention when it comes time to elect public Officials. Barry Soetoro was selected —not elected. The fix was in as soon as he agreed to
be the face his handlers wanted. Now Congress will do like it always DOES and TELL LIES to the American people they have power over about how we need this legislation and the American sheeple will bleet and bray and wring their hands and do nothing until the next election and then they will vote as they are told to vote like good little darkies on the Democratic Party Plantation.

The genocide of the worthy type, this wheel of selecting the weak over the strong, started at the French Revolution’s guillotine, by the way, and we know how that worked out for that country, that free loading subsidize piece of sorry crap of a “country” which could only promulgate its weakness around Europe.
It’s interesting, because I frankly think that the UN’s official language might as well become arabic.
Obama skips debt commission meeting (Dec. 2010)
WASHINGTON (CNN) - President Obama did not attend a White House meeting Thursday with members of his own debt commission, irking some of the Democrats on the panel who were expecting a high-level push from the commander-in-chief to show that its comprehensive deficit reduction plan is being taken seriously by the White House.
“He should have at least dropped by,” one Democratic member of the debt commission told CNN, speaking on the condition of anonymity because he wanted to speak more freely about the panel’s private meeting.

yeah, he cares.
we already know the outcome.
You are correct.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
So much for the Constitution.

We’re going from worse to revolution. Hate to say it, but it seems the writing is on the wall.
looks like the latest incarnation of a “base closing commission” or “debt panel commission”.
if it includes “taxes on the rich”, Obammy and media presstitutes will hail it as a wonderful solution arrived upon by wise, bipartisan, elder statesmen.
if it says we need to cut spending and entitlements a whole lot more, it will be ignored and/or voted down.
