The fiery, independent version of the Republican senator from Arizona took to the floor of the Senate Wednesday morning. Demanding “straight talk,” Mr. McCain accused conservatives of abandoning reason by opposing the House Republican leader’s plan to resolve the debt crisis.
Mr. McCain mocked Tea Party-allied Republicans in the House for believing — wrongly, he said — that President Obama and Democrats will get the blame for a default if Republicans refuse to increase the nation’s debt ceiling.
By that flawed logic, “Democrats would have no choice but to pass a balanced budget amendment and reform entitlements and the Tea Party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth,” he said, quoting a Wall Street Journal editorial.

Maybe this is some liberal psyche out, they're not too sharp when it comes to anything related to the Tea Party anyway. Maybe the Wall Street Journal thinks they're ignorant of of Tolkien mythology as well. Think about it. "Tea Party Hobbits?" Is that supposed to be an insult? The Hobbits win in the epic Lord of the Rings story!
Well, not all of them. There are RINO's, and then there's...
Let’s not get carried in our praise for Juan McLame. Mayhap he is a character in LOTR after all, a minor one, a Saurman stooge by the name of Bill Ferny. One of the hobbits dispatched him with an apple.
Did he ever repay the gubmint for the plane he lost over Hanoi? The soldiers caught hell for losing weapons, what about Juan?

Sarah Palin is a hobbit. He chose her as his VP. Just more proof he was not serious about the Presidency. In fact, I think he was a plant of the dems.
Extracuricular activities?
McCain has become the Repub/RINO equivalent of Jimmy Carter...rapidly sinking into insignificance and mediocrity. Yesteryear's news
“60/40 against. He can do more damage to the nation as a Republican, so hell stay put.”
I tend to agree. We’ll need to elect enough patriots in the party to formally throw this traitor/Manchurian candidate out of the Republican party. He’s had a thousand chances to join the side of patriotism and refuses to do so. He’s a mad dog.
I can’t think of a single thing he’s done for the good of this country since Vietnam. If someone has a list of the “Good and Patriotic Deeds of John McCain,” I’m all ears.
And I think the lessons of the last events of the Rings Trilogy “The Cleansing of the Shire” may have some application here.
The odds might be good. He's thought about it before.
