Have we ever seen a moment like Monday night, when we had an American President more detached from reality?
Mr. Obama gave a political stump speech, which in and of itself was unsurprising. In fact, he has said little different since April. His speeches all amount to this: Republicans are on the political fringe and intransigent, Democrats are reasonable and intelligent, and he alone wants a balanced approach, i.e. tax increases.
But the amazing part of the speech was that Mr. Obama now seems distanced from the political realities that even his own party has accepted. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid recently laid out a debt ceiling proposal with approximately $2.5 Trillion in cuts (only about $1 Trillion being real cuts), but more importantly, without any tax increases. Reid and Pelosi appear to have largely agreed on this proposal. Yet, we had a Democrat President on primetime continue to demand for increases in tax revenues.

Obama is detached from all forms of reality that don’t include fawning sychophantic admiration of him.
Just because he has the press in his pocket, he thinks he's Bill Clinton, and this is 1995.

He’s not detached from reality. He’s got a cold calculation: He thinks that he can stand on “principle,” kill the deal while proclaiming the “devil made me do it,” and then blame it on the GOP just in time to save his butt in the 2012 election. It’s the same thing Clinton did with medicare, vetoing the Gingrich sponsored bill to slow down medicare growth. Or at least that’s what he thinks. Whether it actually works is another question.
The guy has no anchor to reality because nobody in his life has ever made him deal with reality.
He has skated through life on Affirmative Action and his legislative experience was most notable for absenteeism.
He has never run a hot dog stand. How in the hell did anyone think he could be President?
The people who voted for this complete moron because of skin color may have destroyed their own country and everything good in it by electing a leader of the most powerful country on Earth who is nothing but a smooth-talking, incompetent jackass.
This idiot didn't just skip class. He skipped real life.
Nor did anyone make him accountable for his actions....
When describing this man's behavior.... you'll find it parallels the welfare class in this country. A sense of entitlement with no accomplishment. We live in dangerous times....IMHO.
