But while fervent
Herman Cain supporter Stacy McCain thought he was witnessing a Bachmann "implosion" as the dubious migraine narrative hit the wire -and understandably found it difficult to condone Rep. Bachmann's Gestapo-like security detail- he did post an interesting bit from Bachmann's son -a medical resident at the University of Connecticut- who says the story is nonsense and she's nothing like "incapacitated" by the episodes .My brother has migraines, and all I know is that he works right through them as a diesel technician- it's not pleasant, but he is able to function fine in a dangerous and stressful occupation... fwiw.

And don't think they wont have special "revelations" in store for Governor Palin in case she enters and starts surging.
The migraine story was such a hack job. I also think it will backfire at it humanizes her and makes her rise even more impressive.
have there been any Bachmann-Obama head to head polls?
Clearly the Romney camp believes the best thing they can do for his candidacy is to keep him invisible. Has anyone seen Romney in the past year? Is he even still alive?
Better it ALL come out NOW (during a lull in the summer season), then when they try to resurrect it (and if she were the nominee) we can ignore it as old news. Methinks they are shooting their wadd too soon re: her. Amateurs. They have the shakes. They know they are more than likely going to get their ass handed to them on a platter regardless the GOP nominee.
In order to get that result, PPP first had the candidates listed alphabetically—Bachmann being first, Romney way down, without rotating the list—and second had to include undeclared Perry while excluding undeclared Palin. (When both Perry and Palin were included, Romney was solidly in first.)
Her best thing to do is flip it into humor. At the next debate, if she gets a really stupid question, put her head down, pause, look upset and then excuse herself for the “migraine I just got from such a silly question”. Then pivot and launch right into the conservative anti Obama narrative.
The Romney campaign said part of their plan was to keep him out of the spotlight this summer so he wouldn’t be overexposed. A low profile is probably good for Palin and Perry at this point as well. Bachmann will blow over soon enough and likely won’t be much of a factor beyond Iowa at most.
The real campaign doesn’t start until this fall when Palin and like Perry enter it. And yes, from that point I expect both Romney and Perry to drop the closer voters get to look at them. Neither has a style that is going to go over well nationally.
I think they really don’t. They haven’t been hanging back on Palin.
Just the right touch!
GOP establishment attack. They have to bring her down to make way for Jeb Bush to come out of the closet.
Funny how the health and well being of the Democratic candidates aren’t mentioned.
When Dick Cheney was Vice President, the media all but took bets on whether he would survive his numerous heart episodes. Maybe they did take bets — just didn’t mention it on the news.
There are a lot of afflictions out there — migraines included — that people have lived with, some all their lives. Those people go out every day and are productive members of society. Meanwhile, the liberal slackers let a hangnail ruin their lives. They have to go on welfare.
So they have to take Palin out of the polls to push Bachmann ahead.
These polls mean NOTHING! You think the media did a job on Gov. Palin....wait. You ain’t seen nothing yet. They will DESTROY Michelle Bachman. Build her up....make sure everyone knows her name...and then DESTROY HER.....Rules for Radicals, anyone?
Bachmann beats Romney head to head 44-41.
Bachmann wins 18-29, 30-45, 46-65 over Romney by at least 10.
Romney wins 65+ over Bachmann by 14.
Working people are tea party
Retirees want RINO
The tea party candidates - Bachmann, Cain, Paul, Palin - all get a higher percentage of working age people than retirees
The rino candidates - Romney, Perry, Gingrich - all get a higher percentage of retirees than working age.
The only head-to-head they offered was Bachmann vs. Romney, and you betcha the majority of Republicans don’t want Romney.
As to the age groups and voting, the 20-somethings hardly actually vote—and the old folks reliably do. That means the non-Romney (and Perry, that is, the non-’moderate’) candidates have to do a good job with their messaging to get through to them.

It's laughable. What's next? Debilitating acne?
“Left-leaning PPP is showing GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann ahead by a point nationally now with 21% to Romney’s 20. Interestingly, undeclared Rick Perry is in third with 12%, followed by Cain with 11% with Ron Paul (9%), Newt (7%) and T-Paw (5%) rounding it out.”
Cain ain’t doing too shabby.
Will be pleased if he can pass Mitt in the PPP. Thrilled to see Bachmann ahead of her.
Would much rather see Bachmann vs Cain with Mitt third.
