Is Sarah Palin sending mixed messages in her Newsweek article?
The Christian Science Monitor ^ | July 11, 2011 | Linda Feldmann

Just when you thought Sarah Palin was fading from view, boom, she’s back. On the cover of Newsweek. Looking distinctly unpresidential in a gray hoodie that says “Edge Fitness,” hands on hips, hair blown back.

In a Newsweek interview, the former governor of Alaska says she believes: that she can win a national election, that the field of GOP hopefuls should be bigger, and that she still has months to decide if she wants to enter. So what will she do? “I’m still thinking about it,” she told Peter J. Boyer.

“I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around,” Palin said. “But I do believe that I can win.”

Palin has a ready-made reason not to run – her family. Three of her children are still at home, including three-year-old Trig, who has special needs.

Says Palin: “If it came down to the family just saying, ‘Please, Mom, don’t do this,’ then that would be the deal-killer for me, because your family’s gotta be in it with you.”

We already knew all of that. What’s striking about the Newsweek feature is the photographs – not just the cover, but the two-page inside shot of Palin standing in a field of flowers, hair down, wearing a pink hoodie, hands in the pockets of loose-fitting work pants. It’s the Garden of Sarah.

Maybe the photos are Palin’s way of saying, “I’m not running.” Time was when a politically ambitious woman would agree to be photographed only looking “dressed for success” – usually in a suit, à la Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Newsweek cover earlier this year. Or the way Palin usually dresses on Fox News.(continued)

This is the new attack on her. That Newsweek article must be powerful.

Sarah Palin as Newsweek cover girl — again (Sexism, thy name is jourbalist)

Welcome to America folks. The women, men and homosexuals of the left hate Sarah Palin for the fact that she has it all and I mean all. Beautiful family, physical capability, high intelligence and very strong with common sense, physical beauty and a loving hollywood handsome husband and the fact that when the left tried to suppress her she took their attacks and turned them into FAME and a multi-million dollar opportunity with book sales and TV contracts and it is going to drive them absolutely psycho if she announces a run for the President. No better way to beat a suppressive trying to destroy you than to flourish and prosper and rub it in their face for your own amusement. Katy Coric's little gotcha game eventually cost Katy her career. Justice was done and America still LOVES Sarah Palin.

It is not her article. It is probably an edited version of an interview in a leftwing rag,

Yeah, let’s see. Lefties and dimwit independents elected Dumb0 because he ‘talked real good’ and paraded around Hawaiian beaches shirtless.

No double standard here; none at all.

But of course she's giving mixed messages. She's not going to waste her big announcement in News-bleeping-Weak.

She'll come out when she's good and ready to - like most women.

They are so stupid, they don’t get it.

Sarah’s a genuine independent woman. She truly does things things her own way, and screw the libs, the establishment, and the rest of the shallow fools who can’t stand her for that!

These pictures were taken in Alaska, for crying out loud; in pretty rural settings, and she looks strong and powerful in the cover picture!

If she were dressed in a couture suit, or some floaty dress, the nay-sayers would have had a field day with that, as well.

Yes, the NEWSWEEK cover and article appears to be driving the anti-Palinistas out of their already wee, last 2 surviving brain cell minds. LOL

Michele Bachmann has been looking presidential (style-wise) in her appearances following her announcement. And look where that’s gotten her — the MSM is coming after her for comments about her accepting government help to pay for caring for her foster children and just today for her comments about changing gay orientation.

Sarah has lots of photos of her looking “presidential” in her speeches and appearances. She CAN dress appropriate to the occasion as we have so often observed, and stunningly so. For this photo shoot she’s at home in Alaska relaxing (or seemingly so). Plenty of time to “dress up” when the time comes.

You can’t win with the MSM, they will denigrate whatever you say, do or how you look. However, with Sarah its hard NOT to have a good looking photo of her. Consider the CSM article another badge of honor. (And, BTW, the CSM went to an online-only publication a year or so ago after the print publication went belly up! So much for their relevance.)

see. now what I got was her saying "OK Pilgrim, take your best shot. I'm ready"

Take away the podium, the suit, and Obama looks like a little man: Sarah looks kinda badass.

I think this was the intention of Newsweek. They know she’s beautiful and photogenic. They can’t ridicule her the way they have other Republican women so they figured out a way to use her beauty against her.

Were either of these on the cover??

MSM jealous? Naw, no way.
