Every election season brings another round of predictable essays about the Jewish vote. Variations of these essays have been going round and round for decades without getting anywhere. So let's begin by demystifying the Jewish vote.
The Jewish vote is not a single entity. There is no monolithic Jewish vote, because there is no monolithic Jewish community. The Jewish community is small, but in its own way it is as complex and diverse as American Christians are. Which is to say that there's a Jewish spectrum covering everything from Baptists to Unitarians. And politically everything from Rand to Marx.
Let's begin by breaking down the Jewish vote into thirds as a way to get a larger overview of the picture on the ground.

Demystify the Jewish vote?
Jews will support the liberal in nearly all elections.
They voted in lock step for obammy and though he has thrown Israel out with the dish water they will continue to support and vote for him.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen any polls with Republicans taking 66% or more of the Jewish vote. I will agree there are heavily Jewish precincts that may not correspond well with the polls.
All I know is that I want my foreskin back.
I think the author is fuzzy on the concept of “a third”. which implies 3 equal parts. There is no way that 1/3 of the current Jewish population in the United States is conservative. I also think he overestimates the moderates and underestimates the progressives, but I could be wrong there.
That said, there are some magnificent Jewish conservatives out there.
“The Jewish vote is not a single entity. There is no monolithic Jewish vote, because there is no monolithic Jewish community”
Is the author’s next article to claim there is no monolithic black vote? There are nuances.
When 75% of a collective group consistently vte one way, I define the the other 25% is as a statistical aberration .a Both mthe black vote and the Jewish vote are predictable in every election.
The Orthodox Jews won't and they are the fastest growing segment of American Jewery.
Also, this article gives reason for help in contrast to a previous freeper article about how Jews will still vote for The Messiah.
You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking."
There's me, but I'm not so sure I am magnificent.
You’re Jewish amd conservative?? Put’s you at lrast halway there :0

You are correct altho I do not consider Bloomberg much of a Republican. Altho didn’t he become a Dem in that last election? The NY mayoralty may be the exception.
Nationally though in Federal races for the President, Senate and House they consistently vote Dem in overwhelming numbers.
On occasion they will vote for very liberal RINOs. But with the exception of the Orthodox, it seems strict conservative candidates are anathema to them
The NY mayoralty may be the exception.
An exception. Jews will vote Republican in local races. And I think the Jewish vote is under sampled (or rather not sampled) in non-urban settings. If you write of 10-20% of Jews, your polling stinks.

Re-read Greenfield's piece. I know of very few Jews who came here as refugees from communist nations (or their children) who vote Democrat. Michael Grimm is a congressman today because of the influx of such Jews to Staten Island.
Thx
