Romney LOSING in GOP polls, 73% want someone else
FreeRepublic.com ^ | 6/24/11 | Mr. K

The talking heads in the media are all tingly that "Mitt"-for-brains Romney is "winning" the GOP Primary polls by "double digits" because he got 27% in a Florida poll. You expect this kind of baloney from CNN but even "Fox and Friends" was repeating this nonsense this morning.

Since Romney has 27% and Palin (who is not even running yet) has 17% and Bachman and all others get 10% or less, they report this as somehow showing Romney being in the lead, and a repudiation of the TEA party in the GOP.

This is totally ass-backwards. Romney is LOSING by over 45%

When EVERY OTHER CANDIDATE is more conservative than you, then that means that 73% of the people want someone more conservative than Mitt.

The exact opposite of how they are reporting this

Note to GOP from this TEA Partier:
  1. I will not vote for Mitt Romney, not in the primary, and not ever. If you want my vote in the general election, find another candidate.
  2. My preference would be a candidate who promises to write more vetoes than Grover Cleveland, and plans to start most veto letters with the words, "I can find no authority or warrant for such an act of Congress in the United States. Constitution, …" So far, I don't hear this from any of your candidates, except possibly Ron Paul.

Well it’s true. If Palin goes in the race changes dynamically but I’m convinced she won’t enter this time around. I believe she’s content on being the kink/queen maker and both Bachmann and Perry would likely be acceptable to her.

I believe Palin does put the countries interests over her’s, if she thinks no one else can do it she’ll jump in but if she trusts another candidate she’ll stand behind them. IMO...

Romney/Huntsman 2012… the dream ticket among Democrats and media libtards! Look for BIG LIB $$$ to find their way into their primary campaigns (especially the “open” primary states). We thought in 2008, Obama was the “Manchurian Candidate”, turns out it was McPain. The Arizona RINO was picked as the perfect GOP opponent to our first (almost) African-American president, by the liberals and media… McPain almost screwed it all up by picking Sarah Palin as running mate, but media overtime efforts were able to pull Obama’s nuts outta the fire. Sadly election rules in many states award all delegates to the highest vote getter NOT a majority. In Florida, McPain received all GOP delegates with just 34%... this outrageous stacked deck is in the works for Mr. Mittcare also. That is why media outlets are saying Mitt’s 25% is a “commanding” lead. Grassroots GOPers must NOT allow this chicanery to succeed. Or we’ll get the “4-more years” Obama needs to wreck the USA for decades to come!!! God bless America!

I know I am holding out for Palin (see my tagline- its been there off and on since 2009)

the only real point I am trying to make with this post is that “Mitt”-for-brains is NOT WINNING with 27% as the media keeps saying.

“73% want someone else” is what we have to repeat over and over and over

A person cannot flip-flop on core principles, unless they are really core “expediencies”.

His RomneyCare (tm) shows that he does not understand the essential nature of personal liberty nor does he understand rational economics. This is the type of person who would authorize another TARP, just like Bush 43 did.

In that respect, Bush 43 advanced Medicare Part D (the free pills program) for seniors. In my opinion, this is in the same category as ObomaCare (tm) and RomneyCare(tm).

When it came down to crunch time, with both of these people, the answer was big and bigger government. We need a President whose first answer is one that respects the liberty and property of citizens.

(And if any reader sniffs at this, in each of the last three years, American taxpayers donated about $300 billion to charities. So there is plenty of money to fund the needs of those who are truly indigent, if only the right appeal was made to direct the voluntary donation of funds.

A simple approach would be to grant a 100% refundable tax credit for donations to qualified charities. Government would save money because charities like the Salvation Army have far lower overhead and are far more efficient at delivering services to the indigent than government monopoly agencies are. As donations rose to satisfy the level of need, the percent of tax credit could be trimmed back slowly to throttle funding. This is an approach that respects the liberty and property of those who have sufficient income to donate, yet fills the essential needs of the poor. But it does not fill the cravings of power for the brokers in Washington and that is why it has never been proposed.)

No Palin, No Romney. This New Yorker wants Allen West.

Too soon for West, maybe 2016/2020 when we’ll need him. Same goes for Rubio, both need a little seasoning.

How is it possible for a pro abortion, anti gun, socialized medicine, northeast liberal like Romney to even have a chance? How is he any different from Giuliani, apart from not being Italian?

If Romney is nominated then it means we have one party rule in this country, because there will be no philosophical difference between the R's and the D's.

That’s the whole point.

73% of people polled wanted someone else- NOT romney

So we have to stop letting the press spin it as ‘winning’

It is only ‘winning’ in the same sense as Charlie Sheen uses the term

"If Palin goes in the race changes dynamically but I’m convinced she won’t enter this time around. I believe she’s content on being the kink/queen maker "

Palin is ONLY being called Kingmaker because the liberal media sees her as their biggest threat. If she decides she is NOT running, she instantly would be called a nobody, has-been, and/or quitter (again)

She is nothing to them in this race (or after) if she does NOT run.

It is only the threat of her running that makes them keep telling her that she is more powerful if she does not run.

"What I'm hearing from most people is that they are holding out for the real deal."

That's what I told a pollster last night:

"I'm waiting for Sarah Palin to announce her candidacy, and I'm waiting here with $2,000.00 to send as soon as she makes it official."

The pollster actually asked, "Why would you do that? What if she doesn't jump in?"

I said, "Have a good evening." Then I hung up. BTW, my number is unlisted, which tells me they dial by numeric progression, or she never would have had my number come up.

Ok, I did read that Palin AND Bachmann both received 17%.

The poll of 377 "usual" Florida Republican primary voters showed Romney ahead 27 percent, with both Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin tied at 17 percent, followed by Georgia businessman Herman Cain at 10 percent.

She has already explained why neither Perry nor Bachmann is what she's waiting to see to avoid entering herself. Bristol a couple days ago, in an interview about her new book, let it slip that the whole family is eager to, "...help my Mom become the first woman President of the United States."

As far as I can tell, "I don't think she's running" most often actually means "I hope she doesn't run," it's just spoken by a coward. IMO

Mitt is more repulsive to me every time I have to listen to him.

I can't understand why so many people can't see through his act.

"73% of people polled wanted someone else- NOT romney"

I don't find this reassuring. By the same logic, 84% wanted someone other than Palin. I don't trust these early polls anyway, but Romney is arguably the front runner, if only because of "seniority".

Well, none of us love the Republican Party, which is at least 50% RINO.

Well, that is exactly what is going to happen if it plays out like it did in 2008. Split conservative primary vote, plus crossover voting from Rats, RINO gets the nomination. It is a recipe for disaster, and about the only chance Obama has to win!

Romney has name recognition and nothing else, it is so early that these polls mean nothing!

The Flavor Aid (popularly known as Kool Aid) must be leaving a sour taste in people’s mouth and instead are drinking a lot more TEA lately!
